Summary

The Director HR, Total Rewards is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of Celestica's compensation and benefits programs including base salary, incentive compensation and benefits with focus on Global Sales Compensation and Compensation lead for Europe region. This role ensures that sales compensation strategies align with Celestica's financial objectives, drive growth, and remain competitive. The Director acts as a key advisor to executive leadership on global sales incentive trends, performance metrics, and benchmarking to attract and retain top sales talent. The Director also partners with senior leadership to ensure that rewards program design, communications and administration support Celestica's short-term and long-term business objectives in Europe.

Detailed Description

  • Oversees the strategic design, implementation and administration of Celestica's global Sales Incentive programs for approximately 240 sales and sales support employees.
  • Collaborates with HR Executives and Sales Leaders, to review Sales Incentive plans and update as needed.
  • Collaborates with Sales Leaders, Sales Operations and Finance to complete annual quota setting and communication of annual sales incentive plans to managers and participants.
  • Leads the global Sales Incentive Committee meetings, managing governance and approvals of quarterly sales achievement, plan exceptions, incentive payments and plan design changes as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring all actions from the Sales Incentive Meetings are completed. Audits the payroll submissions and oversees results and payment communications with Sales Participants and Managers.
  • Oversees Sales Incentive accruals and reporting.
  • Lead annual Sales Compensation external benchmarking ensuring timely survey participation and results analysis, recommending updates to internal salary ranges and incentive targets as required to maintain competitiveness.
  • Oversees the validation of year-end sales achievements, calculations and approval of final incentive payments for the Hybrid Incentive plan. Includes managing Sales inputs for the annual merit compensation planning process and ensuring accuracy of compensation statements for sales participants.
  • Reviews and approves compensation recommendations for global senior sales hires and director level promotions.
  • Drives the strategic development, design, implementation, communication, maintenance, and compliance of all applicable compensation programs for Europe to align with the company's Total Rewards philosophy and business objectives (impacting approximately 2,200 employees)
  • Work closely with HRBPs, legal, finance etc. to analyze implications of Total Rewards initiatives and align with broader business strategies
  • Evaluates the market data and provides consultation on new hire offers, retention bonuses, and promotion recommendations for Europe.
  • Perform compensation-related M&A or organization change work as necessary - due diligence, retention, integration, etc. for the Europe region.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of government legislation, market trends and economic indicators that may affect compensation policies / practices
  • Establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with leaders and managers across the organization to ensure our compensation structure supports our strategic objectives.
  • Educate leaders, managers and employees on the company's Total Rewards philosophy, processes, and programs.
  • Provides leadership and mentors members of the Global Rewards team, including Compensation & Benefits Managers and Analysts, to ensure high-quality service delivery to internal stakeholders.


Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Proven ability to design, implement and roll out comprehensive rewards programs to a highly -matrixed and fast-paced organization.
  • Deep expertise in Sales Incentive design and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Europe regional pay and benefits regulations and market trends
  • Advanced financial modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills to navigate controversial compensation situations and executive-level discussions.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments
  • Candidates must be currently authorized to work on a full-time basis in the united States or Canada.


Typical Experience

  • Twelve plus years of relevant experience in global compensation and benefits, with a strong focus on sales incentives.
  • Five plus years of experience in a senior leadership or director-level role within a multinational organization.


Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • MBA or professional certification (CPA) is highly preferred.
