Job Title
Director Global Technical Accounting & Reporting

The Director, Global Technical Accounting & Reporting will own and set the company's global technical accounting strategy and governance framework, ensuring alignment with enterprise financial objectives and evolving regulatory requirements. The role will govern enterprise-wide application of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and internal standards, proactively managing financial reporting risk and driving global consistency. It will define technical accounting positions for complex transactions, establish company-wide guidance, and oversee consolidated internal and external reporting. The Director also serves as the strategic liaison with internal and external auditors for U.S. GAAP audits and owns global accounting processes, leading standardization and transformation to improve accuracy and efficiency. In partnership with FP&A, Tax, Operations, and other functions, the role evaluates the accounting implications of key business decisions.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee global consolidated internal management reporting and external financial reporting obligations, including quarterly debt investor reporting and compliance deliverables, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with applicable accounting standards and covenant requirements.
  • Lead complex, technical accounting research for US GAAP, IFRS, and company policies, ensuring consistent application globally.
  • Establish global accounting standards, policies, programs, procedures, and memos for complex areas (leases, cloud computing arrangements, revenue recognition, etc.).
  • Determine accounting treatments for critical business matters and lead implementation of processes to ensure accurate and complete accounting practices (e.g., customer funded agreements, unique revenue structure agreements, capital investments, divestitures).
  • Oversee consolidated global US GAAP audit and serve as primary liaison with internal and external auditors for audit planning, walkthroughs, and issue resolution.
  • Review and approve significant accounting judgments with regional or multi country impact.
  • Provide strategic governance and technical oversight of global processes across the company - consolidations, intercompany, fixed assets, leases and GL areas. Sponsor and advise on process improvements to the general accounting functions. Drive transformation of general accounting functions including automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Design global accounting guidance, rules, policies, and use of systems/software (consolidation systems, ERP).
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on the local, regional, and global level to ensure policy alignment and strong internal controls.
  • Ensure end-to-end audit readiness and execution, including timely preparation of audit deliverables and proactive issue resolution with auditors.
  • Own global internal control design and effectiveness for areas under responsibility.
  • Partner with regional teams on statutory audit support, focusing on global consistency of reporting and audit readiness (i.e. leases, cloud computing arrangements, revenue recognition, current expected credit losses (CECL)).
  • Lead and develop the global accounting team, provide technical direction and governance to team members responsible for consolidations, intercompany, capital tracking/reporting, lease accounting, fixed assets, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Provide coaching and career development; prepare managers for expanded leadership roles.
  • Serve as acting leader of the function in the VP Controller's absence.


Job Requirements:

Education:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting
  • Active Certified Public Accountant license


Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined Public Accounting and industry accounting experience within a multinational business.
  • 4+ years of prior management experience


Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to form, lead, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
  • Ability to drive change and process improvements in a complex and geographically diverse environment.
  • Experience in analyzing business performance and developing financial plans within a manufacturing environment desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting, required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with OneStream and SAP is preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational skills, great attention to detail, as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Target Hiring Range
Annual Salary: USD 146,552.00 - USD 201,509.00

Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
