The Global Search and Discovery team is part of the wider Global Digital and Omnichannel Strategy, Planning and Operations function. The team is responsible for how guests find and discover products and content across our digital ecosystem. The team defines and enables the global strategy, roadmap and performance of search, browse, navigation, recommendations and emerging AI-driven discovery experiences across owned and external platforms. Working closely with regional and cross-functional partners, the team balances global scale with local relevance to drive findability, engagement, traffic quality and business results.

The Director, Global Search & Discovery leads the strategy and performance of lululemon's search and discovery ecosystem. Responsible for Organic Search, Internal Search & Discovery Experience, and Trust & Discovery Signals, this leader drives a connected approach to findability, relevance and inspiration across owned and emerging digital surfaces.

The role serves as the company's thought leader for discovery in the agentic era, shaping how guests discover lululemon both on- and off-site through search engines, AI assistants, LLM-powered experiences and future discovery channels. By aligning global priorities with regional needs, the Director ensures discovery capabilities drive visibility, engagement and business growth at scale.

core responsibilities
  • Define and lead lululemon's global Search & Discovery strategy, ensuring guests can seamlessly find, explore and engage with products and content across digital touchpoints and emerging AI-powered experiences.
  • Own end-to-end digital findability and discovery performance across Organic Search, Internal Search & Discovery Experience, and Trust & Discovery Signals, balancing global consistency with regional market needs and priorities.
  • Establish the vision, standards, governance and success metrics for search, navigation, taxonomy, filters, recommendations, ratings & reviews, and discovery content, partnering closely with Product, Technology, Analytics and regional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead external discoverability across search engines, AI assistants, answer engines and emerging LLM-powered surfaces, ensuring lululemon's products and content are accurately represented, trusted and easily discoverable across the digital ecosystem.
  • Drive continuous optimization of onsite search and product discovery experiences, improving relevance, findability, engagement, conversion and guest satisfaction through data-driven insights, experimentation and innovation.
  • Define and govern discovery data, metadata and trust signal standards, ensuring products and content can be effectively understood, ranked and surfaced across owned, partner and AI-powered platforms.
  • Partner with regional Marketing, Finance and Digital leaders to align traffic planning, demand generation, discovery performance and business insights, translating data into actionable recommendations and strategic priorities.
  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing global team, creating an environment of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous learning while coaching and developing future leaders within the function.
  • Cultivate strong relationships across executive leadership, regional organizations and cross-functional partners to influence prioritization, investment decisions and long-term digital strategy.
  • Serve as lululemon's thought leader in search, discovery and agentic commerce, identifying emerging trends, technologies and opportunities to strengthen the brand's visibility, relevance and competitive advantage across both onsite and offsite discovery experiences.
  • Communicate strategic direction, performance insights and recommendations to senior leadership, helping shape the future of digital discovery and guest experience at lululemon.
qualifications
  • 10+ years and leadership within Organic Search/SEO
  • Strong proficiency in platforms including Google Search Console; enterprise crawling tools and emerging AI search measurement platforms
  • Demonstrated curiosity and innovation in the evolving search landscape, AI, GEO/AEO, with specific examples of experimentation and impact
  • Highly strategic and operational mindset
  • Strong experience working across Product, Technology, Marketing, Finance, and matrixed teams
  • Experience in consumer, retail, e-commerce, marketplaces, or digital platforms strongly preferred
  • Regional and Global experience preferred

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from$196,600 - $258,100 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
