Why this role matters:

We are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven, and commercially minded sales leader to grow and strengthen our presence within the luxury leisure travel sector across the Americas East region. As Director, Global Leisure Sales - Americas East, you'll serve as a trusted partner to both our member hotels and key travel industry accounts, driving awareness, engagement, and revenue opportunities across Preferred Travel Group's portfolio of brands.

This role plays an important part in delivering value to our member hotels by identifying new business opportunities, deepening strategic partnerships, and ensuring our brands remain top of mind among influential luxury travel advisors and organizations. Through market expertise, relationship management, and a consultative approach, you'll help support the continued growth and success of our global hotel portfolio..

Success in this role comes from building strong, influential relationships that translate into measurable revenue growth, increased brand visibility, and long-term partner engagement. You'll consistently identify opportunities to expand business within key accounts, strengthen the position of our brands in the luxury travel marketplace, and deliver meaningful value to our member hotels through strategic sales efforts and industry expertise.

What you'll deliver:
  • Generate increased revenues from managed and prospect account base consistent with Preferred Hotels & Resorts goals for the region.
  • Responsible for consulting hotel members on leisure market segment trends and revenue opportunities.
  • Manage & grow PTG brand visibility within specified markets amongst major luxury travel partnerships such as American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, Virtuoso, Signature, Ensemble & Serandipians
  • Promote awareness and increase revenue opportunities within the designated Preferred Hotels & Resorts brand initiatives for leisure programs such as Preferred Platinum, Life & Style and Preferred Pride
  • Research and expand current account base by soliciting travel industry accounts via travel resources.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of clients, hotel members and products via member portal, sales calls, hotel site inspections, weekly sales conference calls with SVP Global Sales & team, new hotel member announcements, Brand Travel Guides and Magazines, Worldwide Hotel Listing & Worldwide Meetings Specs via SharePoint Front Desk, individual hotel brochures & websites, Trade Publications, FAM's etc.
  • Follow up and pursue potential business opportunities identified by the Hotels or brand Hotel Revenue Optimization Directors (i.e. sales leads, Agency 360 Report, business reviews etc.).
  • As guided by annual budget and Senior Vice President Global Leisure Sales, maintain detailed accounting of operational and promotional expenditures and follow proper financial reporting procedures as established by PHG.
  • Maintain active sales plans on key accounts as directed by Vice President, Global Sales, North Americas via sales action plans, sales activity report, sales calls, tradeshows, road shows, participation in key regional events & meetings and brand-supported programs.
  • Report on sales activities in format and frequency as required by the Vice President, Global Sales, North America
  • Collaborate with US Regional Directors and Revenue Directors for ongoing support of partner hotels and business development needs.
  • Maintain detailed and timely records of prospect and manage accounts for all market segments' information within the brand intranet systems i.e. CRM, Outlook, SharePoint, Cvent, PreferredNet Member Portal, etc.
  • Represent PTG at major tradeshows, showcases, conferences and road shows including but not limited to, LE Miami, Virtuoso Travel Week and ILTM North America or Cannes
  • Consistently meet or exceed annual department sale goals set by SVP Goals Leisure Sales
  • Work directly with SVP, Global Leisure Sales to grow the brands Preferred Pride Program
  • Conduct educational content and training to the luxury leisure travel agencies within the region on the Preferred Travel Advisor Portal, ensuring travel advisors are knowledgeable about Preferred Hotels & Resorts' brands, programs, and member properties. Drive adoption and utilization of the portal for bookings, exclusive offers, marketing resources, and best-practice tools that enhance advisor expertise, deepen partner relationships, and generate incremental revenue and room nights for member hotels.
