We are looking for a high-impact, strategic finance leader to manage our growing FP&A function, specifically focused on accelerating our Go-to-Market (GTM) engine while maintaining oversight of corporate-level FP&A. As we scale toward $100M+ ARR, you will be the primary financial partner to our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success leaders, translating growth ambitions into actionable metrics, forecasts, and ROI analyses.

This role requires a unique blend of "doer" mentality (building robust models) and strategic leadership (influencing C-level decisions), providing you with total visibility into our financial operations.

What You'll Do
  • GTM Strategic Partnership: Act as the trusted finance partner to GTM leaders (Sales, Marketing, CS, RevOps), driving the financial planning, forecasting, sales compensation strategy, and reporting for all revenue-generating functions.
  • GTM Metrics & Reporting: Build our GTM reporting suite, tracking critical metrics including ARR forecasting (new, expansion, churn), Consumption Metrics (monthly active usage, credit burn down, margin, overage trends), GRR, NRR, CAC, Magic Number, Sales Productivity, and Pipeline conversion rates.
  • Corporate FP&A Leadership: Lead the annual operating plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasting process (Reforecast) for the entire company. Develop sophisticated capacity models to inform sales hiring plans, compensation, and territory strategies.
  • Track ROI & Optimization: Evaluate ROI on Company investments (marketing program ROI, product investments, pricing strategies, AI) to maximize top-line growth efficiency while maintaining business economics (gross margin, cloud infrastructure optimization).
  • Executive & Board Reporting: Prepare high-quality, actionable financial decks for executive leadership and board meetings, translating data into compelling narratives.
  • System Transformation: Drive improvements in financial systems and RevOps data integrity to ensure a single source of truth for all metrics.

What You Bring
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with at least 3 years in a management position, preferably in a $150M+ ARR enterprise B2B Software company.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of License, SaaS and Consumption/usage-based business models, specifically regarding Database, Infrastructure, or Developer tools. (e.g., Snowflake, Datadog, Databricks, AWS-style models). Experience in AI is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel financial modeling skills (driver-based modeling), proficiency in SQL or business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker), and seasoned expertise in Salesforce and sales processes a must.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative, analytical culture.
  • Communication: Exceptional executive presence; able to distill complex analysis into clear insights for leadership.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CPA preferred.

Why Join Us?
  • Impact: You will directly shape the growth strategy of a fast-growing database startup.
  • Visibility: You will work intimately with the leadership team.
  • Growth: This is a career-defining opportunity to build the FP&A team and establish the processes, systems, and culture for the finance function and we scale toward $100M+ ARR and beyond.

We work in a hybrid model, with the team together in our Sunnyvale office 2-3 days per week.

We feel strongly about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one way to help achieve that. The cash compensation for this role is market competitive, with a range of $275,000-$310,000 USD OTE. As well as equity (when applicable), and benefits including health plans, retirement plans, and unlimited paid time off (PTO). The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
