Full Job Description
SUMMARY: The Director of Food and Nutrition Services provides leadership, supervision and direction for all Food and Nutrition Services employees. This position is responsible for assigning, overseeing and inspecting the work quality and activities of assigned employees while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations and organizational guidelines. The Director of Food and Nutrition Services serves as a role model for all employees by promoting and upholding the organization's mission, vision, purpose and values.

BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Dynamic Health and Healthstream Policy Manager.

Required to work with the VP of Ancillary Services regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Food & Nutrition Services Department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associate Degree in Business, Management or Nutrition

Experience: Minimum of four (4) years' experience in the food nutrition services field, either in a hospital or institutional setting. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Certification: Active Arkansas Registered Dietitian license in good standing or an Active professionally qualified Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) in good standing. Active Certified ServSafe Manager.

Other: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Cerner Electronic Medical Record, GemServ Diet office software, and web-based software, operating budgets and contract negotiation skills. Strong customer/patient service orientation with a high sense of urgency. Ability to work in a fast paced, service oriented environment. Effective judgment and decision-making ability. Effective collaboration skills; performing comfortably in group settings and interprofessional teams.
