Full Job Description
We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director to join our Fund Reporting Manager team. This role location is Boston, MA ( 4 days in office expectation). In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: • Direct a Fund Reporting area consisting of multiple teams responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports on behalf of assigned clients and funds. • Manage the financial and human resources for the unit, ensuring teams operate effectively to meet unit goals and objectives. • Execute business plans and contribute to the development of functional strategy. • Provide oversight and guidance in setting processes that check for completeness and accuracy of disclosure in financial statements. • Resolve the most complex escalated issues from team members. • Oversee relationships with senior-level auditors and large, complex clients to ensure financial reporting meets expectations and accurately depicts fund performance. • Ensure financial reporting complies with Corporate and applicable regulatory standards. • Lead analysis of changes in accounting and disclosure standards to set new policies ensuring compliance. • Lead presentation of fund reports to the Board of Directors to ensure good governance and communicate complex, difficult, or controversial concepts. • Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff to maximize individual contributions, professional growth, and effective teamwork. • Manage a large Fund Reporting area primarily through subordinate managers. • Responsible for achieving goals of a large financial reporting area, talent management, and supervision of teams. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: • Bachelor's degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience. • 10-15 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 years of management experience preferred. • Experience in accounting and/or finance preferred. BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $130,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
