Full Job Description
This job is responsible for overseeing general accounting and financial reporting functions and the financial services area including credit, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Education Required - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Work Experience Required - 5 years Accounting experience, Prior management experience Preferred - 10 years Accounting experience Certifications Required - Current State of Louisiana Certified Public Accountant Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) 3 Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information. 3 Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally. 3 Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard. 3 Strong interpersonal skills. 3 Skills to work independently. 3 Skills to work efficiently under pressure and set priorities. 3 Ability to travel throughout and between facilities. 3 Ability to work flexible schedule. Job Duties 3 Oversees the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting, balance sheet management. 3 Coordinates work relating to both internal and external audits of company financial records. 3 Ensures that company financial reports are prepared in compliance with policies and directives, US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. 3 Ensures that the accounting department is staffed with qualified financial personnel capable of meeting the objectives and responsibilities. 3 Provides technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all company entities.
