Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a Director, Finance Planning & Analytics to lead the modernization of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning capabilities across the organization. This role serves as a strategic partner to Finance and Operations leadership, driving enterprise reporting, dashboarding, analytics, process automation, and data management initiatives through tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Python. The Director will play a key role in standardizing and improving reporting, enhancing access to actionable insights, supporting strategic initiatives and performance measurement, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership by providing analytics, insights, and performance measurement that support business strategies, initiatives, and decision-making
  • Lead the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of enterprise financial and operational reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and KPI frameworks
  • Drive the organization's finance business intelligence capabilities through the effective use of Power BI, SQL, Python, and in developing the use of Oracle's FDI framework
  • Partner with FP&A leadership to enhance forecasting, budgeting, annual planning, and long-range planning processes through improved reporting, analytics, and automation
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline financial and operational processes, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency across reporting and planning activities
  • Partner with Information Technology and business stakeholders to optimize financial systems, reporting platforms, and data architecture while supporting new analytics and reporting initiatives
  • Perform advanced analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers, providing recommendations that influence business decisions and strategic direction
  • Support strategic initiatives, operational improvement efforts, and growth programs through the development of analytics, reporting frameworks, and performance tracking solutions


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Related field
  • CPA or equivalent
  • Excellent detail, organizational skills, communication skill and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and adjust accordingly.
  • Excellent spreadsheets skills (i.e., Excel).
