Director Finance -Manufacturing Front-End leadership and factory operations teams.
Essential Functions:- Serve as the trusted finance business partner to Manufacturing Front-End leadership and factory operations teams.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term operational and financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead strategic planning processes including long-range planning, annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and monthly operational reviews.
- Provide financial analysis and operational insights to drive productivity improvements, manufacturing efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Develop and oversee key manufacturing and operational KPIs to monitor factory performance, utilization, spending, productivity, inventory, and profitability.
- Produce insightful and intuitive reporting packages for leadership, translating complex manufacturing and financial data into actionable recommendations.
- Analyze factory financial statements, manufacturing variances, inventory trends, utilization metrics, labor efficiencies, and product cost performance to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering organizations to evaluate factory investments, capacity planning, and operational scalability.
- Lead capital budgeting processes and support business case development for manufacturing expansion, automation, equipment investments, and productivity initiatives.
- Partner with global manufacturing finance teams to ensure spending, headcount, and operational performance align with business plans and strategic objectives.
- Support inventory management processes, including inventory controls, excess and obsolescence analysis, cycle time improvements, and absorption management.
- Drive financial discipline and accountability across manufacturing operations through strong cross-functional collaboration and communication.
- Provide analytical insights directly into executive leadership, enabling informed decision-making and identification of cost savings and operational improvement opportunities.
- Support external and internal audit requirements, compliance initiatives, and applicable statutory and tax-related manufacturing finance activities.
Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience in FP&A, manufacturing finance, or operations finance, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a global manufacturing environment.
- Semiconductor, photonics, networking, or high-tech manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with executive leadership to drive operational and financial performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex operational and financial data and deliver actionable business insights.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, inventory management, capital investment analysis, and operational finance.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to influence and collaborate across operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance organizations.
- Highly adaptable and capable of prioritizing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced global environment.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive operational and business process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and large-scale data analysis.
