What You'll Do

As Director of Facilities & Plant Operations, you'll provide leadership and oversight for the facility's maintenance, engineering, plant operations, infrastructure, and related services.
  • Lead facilities maintenance, engineering, plant operations, grounds, and infrastructure services
  • Ensure reliable operation of critical systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, emergency power, medical gas, fire protection, and life safety
  • Lead preventive maintenance, reliability, and emergency preparedness programs
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing facilities team
  • Establish staffing plans, operational goals, performance expectations, and departmental budgets
  • Oversee capital projects, vendors, contractors, and contracted services
  • Partner with hospital leadership to support patient care, operational performance, and customer service
  • Maintain regulatory readiness and support compliance with applicable Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA, OSHA, Life Safety, and Environment of Care requirements
  • Review operational data and maintenance performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and service excellence
  • Communicate facility needs, operational performance, risks, and recommendations to hospital and VRI leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned
