DGA-ASG is seeking a Director to join the Europe team in Washington, D.C. The Director will serve as an engagement manager across one or more client accounts, playing a central role in ensuring high-quality service delivery and strategic counsel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in political and/or commercial affairs in Europe and/or Eurasia, with a proven ability to navigate complex geopolitical dynamics and advise clients accordingly. Experience in transatlantic security and European defense and/or European technology regulations are a plus.
As a Director, you will lead client communications and act as a primary point of contact for client representatives and key external stakeholders. With guidance from senior colleagues, you will coordinate cross-functional and sectoral teams, ensuring collaboration and timely execution of deliverables such as stakeholder maps, country briefs, market assessments, and proposals.
This role also includes oversight of deliverables and team performance, offering guidance to junior staff, including Associates and Senior Associates, and backstopping them as needed. The position requires strategic thinking, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities- Assists in managing team members within client teams to produce agreed upon products. Provides clear expectations and timelines to teammates working on the deliverables.
- Supports less experienced team members' professional development and works to identify additional development opportunities.
- Supports the practice in managing aspects of client relationships, both internally and externally.
- Serves as a member of (and may lead, as assigned) defined client teams, focused on overall strategy, drives day-to-day internal coordination.
- Acts as the driving force on client-related tasks and deliverables, both within their own practice and across practices and relays back to DGA-ASG any client concerns.
- Coordinates with external stakeholders to generate client deliverables.
- Ensures that all firm resources are brought to bear as needed, and in a timely manner, escalating concerns to senior staff.
- Begins to identify ways to enhance client profitability.
- Focus on the continued development of geopolitical, regional, and/or sector-specific expertise-particularly related to Europe and Eurasia, as well as key industries such as defense, technology, energy, and financial services. One or more areas of deep expertise should enable the individual to lead and shape work on behalf of clients or the firm.
- Works as a part of the team to identify and engage potential clients and monitor current client activity for potential expansion opportunities.
- Utilizes Salesforce to begin to cultivate leads and business development opportunities for the team.
- Continues to develop personal network of relationships to cultivate potential clients and creatively build new business, and to foster broad DGA-ASG networks through interaction with associations, think tanks and policy shops.

Qualifications- 8+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably including in the consulting field.
- Bachelor's degree in political science, international relations, public policy, or business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with a graduate degree in a related field a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in Europe and/or Eurasia geopolitics and political affairs.
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint and other MS Office tools.
- Excellent presentation, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proactive approach to networking and stakeholder engagement
