Full Job Description
Groupe Marcelle is currently seeking a Director, ERP & Applications for a permanent, full-time position.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering & IT, the Director, ERP & Applications is responsible for ensuring the stability, evolution, and governance of enterprise application systems, primarily Oracle JDE 9.2, in alignment with Finance, Manufacturing, and Distribution business needs. This role plays a critical part in structuring the application team, prioritizing initiatives, and maintaining a high level of service for business partners.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

ERP & Application Governance
  • Ensure operational stability of the ERP system (Oracle JDE 9.2)
  • Prioritize, assign, and oversee application requests
  • Balance business needs with technical and system constraints
  • Oversee system upgrades, patches, and enhancements
  • Maintain a coherent and scalable application architecture
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure teams on data security, licensing, and system performance

Business Partnership
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Finance, Manufacturing, and Distribution teams
  • Translate business requirements into effective application solutions
  • Lead testing, validation, and deployment activities
  • Ensure a consistent and high level of service to end users

Team Management
  • Lead and support the JDE Technical Lead, ERP developers, and application analysts
  • Define and maintain development standards and best practices
  • Plan team capacity and manage priorities
  • Identify training needs and support skill development
  • Reduce reliance on key individuals through knowledge sharing

Application Project Management
  • Plan and oversee ERP and ERP-integrated projects
  • Manage application budgets
  • Lead and coordinate vendors, including Oracle and system integrators
  • Ensure delivery timelines and priorities are met

Risk Management & Business Continuity
  • Develop procedures aligned with regulatory and business requirements
  • Establish documentation and knowledge-transfer practices
  • Structure application support and on-call processes
  • Assess external support needs as required


WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE

Education
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing ERP environment (required)

Experience
  • 8 to 15 years of experience in ERP environments
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution settings
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical teams
  • Direct interaction with Finance and Operations stakeholders
  • Budget management and vendor management experience

Strong asset:
  • Experience with Oracle JDE 9.2 or a comparable ERP in a manufacturing context

Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of ERP architectures
  • Knowledge of Finance and Manufacturing modules (essential)
  • Knowledge of Distribution and Procurement modules (asset)

  • General understanding of databases (SQL)
  • Experience in a regulated industry (asset)
