Full Job Description
This position is within the Care Solutions business line and has responsibility at the Mapleton site. This position is fully on site and does not require any travel. Travel may be on ad-hoc basis for site visit and experience exchange. The Reliability Manager is responsible for developing and implementing reliability strategies and programs to enhance operational performance of the equipment assets for Mapleton. This position leads a team of plant engineers and reliability engineers and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, availability and maintainability of assets. The reliability manager will also focus on continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and optimize maintenance practices, with a specific emphasis on asset strategy development. This position ensures world class performance is clearly defined and leverages talent in the region, to continually improve equipment reliability and business outcomes for Mapleton. Incorporation of industry and Evonik standards into both technical and safety-based work practices will help to drive improvement of key performance indicators for Mapleton. This position will implement Evonik Process System (EPS) in the areas of maintenance, reliability, turnarounds, external service management, site engineering, materials management, contractor management, digitalization initiatives, and strategic partnerships. RESPONSIBILITIES 3 Develop and implement reliability strategies and asset management strategies to improve equipment performance, optimize asset lifecycle and reduce failure rates for Mapleton site. 3 Lead and mentor plant engineers and reliability engineers, providing guidance on best practices and methodologies. 3 Drive continuous improvement initiatives using reliability-centered maintenance and other methodologies. 3 Collaborate with cross functional team (maintenance, operations, engineering, safety, etc.) to ensure alignment on reliability goals and improve asset utilization and performance. 3 Evaluate and prioritize asset investments based on risk, performance, business impact, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. 3 Monitor important reliability trends and technical developments for development of new applications. 3 Communicate and liaison with key Evonik contact personnel in Care Solutions Business line , as well as Technical Services and Technology and Engineering Americas to solve reliability issues at Mapleton. REQUIREMENTS 3 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical or Chemical Engineering with strong maintenance reliability experience. 3 5-10 years in manufacturing with leadership and general industrial management experience. Strong background and broad-based experience in the complex field of maintenance or reliability engineering. A thorough knowledge of technical codes, standards and regulations is required. 3 This is a self-motivated position that requires excellent leadership, analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Responsiveness and professionalism are critical as this position communicates with Site Manager and Engineering and Maintenance Manager frequently. 3 A seasoned professional with maintenance model development experience is preferred. Must have the ability to effectively collaborate with senior management, both locally and globally, and positively add value to short term and long-term strategic planning. 3 Must be analytical and have the ability to problem solve in a concise and logical manner. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and manage expectations to create trust and credibility across a broad spectrum of the company. 3 Ability to effectively articulate and explain market trends internally and externally. Ability to interpret financial and nonfinancial data and clearly articulate the economic impact of significant decisions. 3 He/she needs strong people leadership skills in very diverse teams and must be able to motivate employees by establishing challenging yet achievable goals. 3 Proficiency in reliability software and tools (e.g., CMMS, SAP, etc.) is preferred. Advanced degree, Professional certification (CMRP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.), or MBA preferred. Summary Compensation & Benefits: Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. (Specific rate to be determined, but not limited to, geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). Pay Range: $123,500-$205,900 Evonik offers a comprehensive benefit package, subject to plan eligibility, terms, and guidelines.
