Bringing a product mindset and exceptional relationship-building skills, the Director will align priorities across the institution, advance accessible and sustainable experiences for students and employees, and advise the CTO on strategy, governance and investment. This role is suited to a leader who can translate complex technology choices into better experiences, stronger decisions and lasting value for Western.

What you'll bring

They will understand the architecture and governance required to connect complex enterprise environments, including APIs, integration technologies and data orchestration frameworks. Just as importantly, they will bring strong business and financial acumen and understand how to balance innovation with operational resilience, user experience with enterprise standards, and speed with responsible governance.

Candidates will possess a university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field and a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise applications, data management, software development or a related technology leadership function, including at least five years leading multidisciplinary teams and significant strategic initiatives.

A master's degree or relevant professional designation in areas such as product management, data management or enterprise architecture would be considered an asset. Experience within higher education, healthcare, the broader public sector or another similarly complex and decentralized environment would also be highly valued.

Salary & Benefits: $175,000 - $225,000 annual salary. Salary will be aligned with candidates demonstrated experience and qualifications. Western offers a comprehensive pension and benefits plan. Please note, this position is fully in person, on-site in London, Ontario, and is an existing vacancy.
