What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Director of Enterprise Shared Application Services to lead the design, implementation, and management of secure, scalable, and compliant file transfer technologies, job scheduling applications like ESP / CAWA, Enterprise Box & others. This is a strategic, technical, and leadership-focused role aimed at ensuring efficient and secure data exchange across the organization. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, align MFT strategies with enterprise priorities, and foster a culture of excellence in software engineering and cybersecurity.

What will you do?
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the architecture, development, and operations of MFT systems to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient data exchange.
  • Technology Oversight: Manage secure file transfer protocols (e.g., SFTP, FTPS, AS2) and oversee engineering teams or third-party providers.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Implement compliance frameworks and set risk management guidelines to address regulatory and security requirements.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a team of engineering managers, leads, and specialists, fostering talent growth and innovation.
  • Project Leadership: Drive enterprise-wide initiatives involving automation, data exchange, and integration, managing resource allocation and budgeting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business and technology leaders, regulatory bodies, and industry forums to align MFT strategies with organizational goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Enhance software engineering practices, scalability, resilience, and security through emerging technologies and automation.


What do you need to succeed?

Must have:
  • 10+ years in technology strategic leadership (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of file transfer experience in industries like financial services.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of secure file transfer protocols and platforms (e.g., Seeburger, Messageway, Axway, IBM) and a strong understanding of network architecture, encryption, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks.
  • Leadership Experience: 8+ years in technology strategic leadership, 5+ years in file transfer experience (e.g., financial services, healthcare), and 4+ years in management or leadership roles.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and large initiative management abilities.
  • Desired Qualifications: Experience leading MFT system architecture, development, and operations, along with familiarity with cloud technologies, data center migrations, and AI-driven solutions.
