POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for the ownership, stability, lifecycle, and continuous improvement of INW's enterprise business applications, including ERP, LIMS, QMS, and other core business platforms.
This role serves as the primary technology owner for assigned enterprise applications and partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and divisional leadership to ensure systems effectively support business processes and operational requirements.
The Director will lead major application initiatives, establish strong application governance and ownership, reduce unsupported and unmanaged system risk, and drive projects through implementation and business adoption. This is a business-facing leadership role requiring both strong enterprise application expertise and a practical understanding of manufacturing processes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May supervise staff directly and indirectly. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This role serves as a member of the INW Technology Team and initially reports to the Senior Vice President of Information Technology.
LOCATION:
This position may work remotely from any location; however, placement at an INW division is strongly preferred. The Company is headquartered in the Salt Lake City, UT area and includes six operating divisions that span a footprint exceeding 1,500,000 sq. ft. both domestically and internationally. Candidates must have the capability to work from remote location(s) and independently, as needed. Travel requirements dependent on business needs; primarily domestic travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ERP & Business Systems
Own the health, supportability, lifecycle, and performance of INW's ERP and core enterprise application portfolio.
Develop and execute application roadmaps aligned with the broader Business Systems & Transformation strategy.
Lead ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations, consolidations, and remediation
Establish clear ownership, support models, and lifecycle plans for critical business
Reduce reliance on unsupported, unmanaged, or high-risk systems and
Business Process & Application Alignment
Partner with business and divisional leaders to understand operational processes and ensure applications effectively support them.
Work with Business Systems and ERP Analysts to identify whether issues require process changes, system configuration, training, integration, or development.
Promote consistent processes and system usage across divisions where
Challenge unnecessary customization and inefficient processes when existing system capabilities can better support the business.
Application Governance & Delivery
Establish and maintain change control, testing, UAT, release readiness, documentation, and application governance standards.
Drive major application projects from planning through implementation and
Maintain visibility into application risks, dependencies, projects, and investment
Ensure application changes are properly tested, documented, communicated, and
Coordinate closely with Application Development, Data & Analytics, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams on cross-functional initiatives.
Data & Analytics
Provide leadership and direction for the Data & Analytics
Improve the quality, consistency, governance, and trustworthiness of enterprise data and
Partner with business leaders to establish appropriate data ownership, definitions, and reporting
Ensure analytics capabilities support operational decision-making and broader enterprise
Work with technology leadership to support the data foundation required for automation and AI
Vendor & Partner Management
Manage key ERP, LIMS, QMS, application vendors, consultants, and implementation
Hold external partners accountable for quality, timelines, support, and contractual
Evaluate vendor capabilities, application costs, support models, and opportunities for consolidation or improved value.
Escalate significant application risks, investment requirements, and vendor issues to Business Systems leadership.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop Business Systems Analysts, ERP Analysts, and other enterprise application
Establish clear priorities, ownership, and accountability across the enterprise applications
Build functional knowledge and documentation to reduce key-person
Develop strong partnerships between Technology and business
Promote a culture of disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and business-focused technology ownership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong experience in manufacturing environments and understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, finance, quality, and related business processes.
Experience leading ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations, or major application
Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, change control, testing, and business
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into effective system and process
Experience managing application vendors, consultants, and implementation
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project execution
Travel required.

PPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Deacom, Sage, and Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains, or Process
Experience supporting multiple ERP platforms in a multi-site
Experience with LIMS and QMS platforms, including systems such as LabVantage, MasterControl, or
Experience with application rationalization, system consolidation, and legacy-system
Familiarity with integrations, APIs, custom applications, data/reporting environments, and SQL-based
Experience working within a private-equity-backed or rapidly transforming manufacturing
LEADERSHIP PROFILE
The ideal candidate is process-oriented, accountable, and comfortable working directly with both business leaders and technical teams. They should be able to quickly understand how a manufacturing operation works, identify the difference between a process problem and a technology problem, and drive complex application initiatives through to completion.
Success in this role will be measured by improved application stability and ownership, successful execution of major ERP and application initiatives, reduced legacy and unsupported-system risk, stronger alignment between business processes and systems, and increased confidence in INW's enterprise application environment.
