As Director, Ecology & Environmental Impact Assessment - British Columbia, you will lead a multidisciplinary practice delivering terrestrial, aquatic, and marine biology; socio-economic assessment; Indigenous engagement; environmental planning and approvals; project management; and construction environmental management. You will guide projects across their full lifecycle-from baseline studies and impact assessment through regulatory approvals, construction, and monitoring.

A critical component of this role is driving operational excellence-establishing consistent, efficient, and high-quality delivery models across all service lines, strengthening project performance, and enabling scalable, sustainable growth across the region.

Based preferably in Vancouver (with flexibility for Victoria, Kelowna, or Kamloops), this role supports major projects across the province, including energy transition, mining, transportation, water, infrastructure, and community development initiatives.

Your Impact
  • Drive growth, market and strategic leadership in ecology and environmental impact assessment services across British Columbia
  • Support in setting regional vision, priorities, and performance targets, aligned with national environmental and sustainability strategies
  • Establish and embed operational excellence frameworks across ecology and EIA services to improve consistency, efficiency, and quality of delivery
  • Standardize project delivery approaches, tools, and methodologies to enhance predictability, margin performance, and risk management
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data, lessons learned, and innovation to optimize project outcomes
  • Strengthen project governance, including scope management, financial performance, scheduling, and quality assurance
  • Foster a culture of accountability and high performance, empowering teams to deliver safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards
  • Lead and mentor senior technical specialists, project managers, and emerging leaders, building a high-performing and inclusive team
  • Strengthen client relationships and expand strategic accounts through trusted advisory leadership and technical credibility
  • Champion meaningful Indigenous engagement, supporting respectful partnerships and integration of Indigenous knowledge into project delivery
  • Champion safety, quality, and risk management across all programs and service lines
  • Represent the organization with clients, regulators, Indigenous Nations, and key stakeholders across BC
