What is the opportunity?

RBC Direct Investing is building the future of self-directed investing in Canada - and we're looking for a Director, Digital Product Marketing to lead the digital experience that brings it to life.

This is a senior, high-impact role with accountability for how RBC Direct Investing presents itself online - from first discovery through to conversion, retention, and engagement. You'll develop and implement digital marketing strategy across owned channels and lead a team of skilled marketers.

What will you do?

Digital Strategy & Channel Performance
  • Set and lead the end-to-end digital marketing strategy across owned channels (web, email, app, and paid) for RBC Direct Investing - from awareness through acquisition and retention
  • Translate brand strategy into concrete, channel-specific marketing programs that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Own the online conversion funnel: establish clear performance benchmarks at every stage and drive continuous improvement against them
  • Lead discoverability strategy in partnership with SEO/AEO and content teams - increasing qualified traffic, improving search ranking, and building out tracking and reporting capabilities


Content, Creative & Brand Expression
  • Define how RBC Direct Investing looks, sounds, and feels online - maintaining a distinctive brand voice across every digital touchpoint
  • Build a content engine that uses data, personalization, and AI tools to produce high-quality assets efficiently and at scale
  • Champion online brand storytelling and ensure product marketing integrates seamlessly with broader campaign activity


People & Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop a team of digital marketers - setting clear direction, maintaining high standards, and creating the conditions for sustained high performance
  • Coach team members through direct feedback, meaningful development conversations, and well-designed stretch opportunities
  • Cultivate a team culture grounded in curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning


Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Work closely with brand, product & business partners to deliver integrated experiences
  • Communicate strategy clearly and with conviction to senior leadership; be a trusted voice on digital marketing across the organization
  • Identify and reduce organizational friction, enabling your team to maintain momentum and focus on high-impact work


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or related
  • 10+ years of digital marketing experience, with meaningful time spent in financial services, a fintech, or a consumer brand where digital performance was central to the business
  • Proven results building and growing an online brand in a competitive space - a demonstrable track record of improving key business metrics; traffic, conversion, engagement, revenue
  • Deep expertise in digital marketing strategy with bias for mobile-first principles, across SEO/AEO, content marketing, paid and owned channels, email, and web - with a strong understanding of how these channels integrate and amplify each other
  • Strong command of data analytics, with hands-on experience translating data into decisions
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams - a thoughtful approach to hiring, developing talent, and creating strong team culture and environment
  • Excellent communication skills - able to write a tight brief, present with confidence to senior leadership, and align cross-functional partners effectively
  • Collaborative team player who is open to feedback and ability to quickly adapt to change
  • Resilience in ambiguous, fast-moving environments - you set direction clearly, adapt without losing momentum, and bring your team with you through change
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work setting with 3-4 days/wk. in office and 1-2 days/wk. max remote

Nice-to-Have
  • MBA or investment-related credentials (CFA, CSC)
  • Active self-directed investor or strong personal interest in investing
  • Content Management System (CMS) experience
  • Hands-on experience implementing AI tools in a marketing context
