Job Description:
The Digital Investment Director is responsible for developing a high-performing team of Managers and Sr. Investment Planners and providing guidance on client and campaign strategy. The Digital Investment Director is responsible for overseeing the entire buying and implementation process of Digital Investment for their dedicated media brands and clients. This role is critical in enforcing and working with senior management to shape the overall corporate investment direction while overseeing the quality standards of their team's deliverables.
Accountabilities:
• Effectively supports, coaches, and develops a team of people leaders.
• Manages and conducts team's goal setting and annual performance appraisals.
• Communicates deadlines and business goals to people leaders.
• Leads team resources in an agile way to deliver optimal service for media brands and other stakeholders.
• Drives employee retention by supporting and championing programs that help retain top digital talent in Canada.
• Grows the sophistication of the team's digital media knowledge, expanding into data and technology through workshops and training seminars.
• Drives operation excellence in all media investment process and activities.
• Implementation of a continuous improvement culture to achieve improved digital media deliver and operations in coordination with Media and Performance Operations leadership.
• Leads and drives positive working relationships with vendors and guides vendor selection to support the corporate commercial investment direction. • Identifies development areas to help achieve and drive team performance goals for the year.
• Develops the deliver buy structures that encompass the best environments for each client's target audience, while maximizing value and efficiency.
• Participates and presents in new business efforts for the Canadian Network.
• Instils a high-performance, data-driven, continuous improvement culture within a shared service organization.
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Media, Advertising, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of media planning and/or buying experience focused on Digital Channels and a minimum of 3-year experience leading a team.
• Ability to demonstrative creativity in negotiations and act as the conduit to media brands.
• Influential people leader with the ability to lead, coach and develop and retain top talent while addressing performance.
• Experience with driving change and ability to think innovatively in developing and executing changes to processes and ways of working.
• Previous experience with support new business efforts at the Network or brand level.
• Subject matter expert in developing digital investment strategies that meet and exceed client campaign goals and objectives.
• Must have experience with ad severing and media buying technologies (DCM, AdWords, Facebook, Google, etc.).
• High-level of confidence with an ability to manage expectations with internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Growth-minded with the ability to focus their efforts on specific growth goals for the network.
• Advanced analytical skills and proficient with numbers and budgets to illustrate client business objectives.
• Advanced level MS Office skills: Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's), Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

The salary range for this position is $100k-$105k. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
