In the Director of Digital Health role, you will drive innovation, adapting quickly to the rapidly changing landscape of digital health and provider interoperability. With a strong background in both technical and healthcare-specific domains, the Director will be dedicated to facilitating healthcare technology tools, data management, and digital health advancements for federally certified providers. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Serving as a technical lead and subject matter expert in digital health transformation and enhanced provider interoperability.
- Working as an integral member of the IPRO team to assess provider readiness and, when gaps are found, support providers in improving health information technology, including technical assistance, to educate, guide, and support building the infrastructure necessary to access, share and use data for quality improvement.
- Development of technically accurate reports and project documentation to summarize findings, demonstrate progress of interventions, and formulate recommendations for technical and nontechnical audiences.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the demonstrated ability to convey technically complex information and concepts concisely and in easily understood terms and influence teams throughout all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- A strong understanding of cybersecurity, medical records, health data privacy and security, and other relevant domain-specific regulations.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and change priorities as needed while still maintaining precision and diligence.
- Ability to produce assigned deliverables within assigned deadlines.
- Familiarity with Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) collection, information exchange and reporting.
- Familiarity with Clinical Quality Language (CQL) HL7® language to harmonize standards for electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) and clinical decision support (CDS).
- Ability to travel to provider locations (up to 20%) as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, required.
- A Master's or Doctorate in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
- Nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience in technical roles, such as solutions architecture or software engineering, with a minimum of three (3) years working in the healthcare sector, particularly in digital health, telehealth, or health informatics, required.
- Experience in electronic health records (EHR) and health information technology (HIT) solutions, required.
- Experience in leveraging data analytics to drive decision making and improvement clinical outcomes, required.
- Experience with clinical documentation improvement programs, required.
- Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified Health Informatician (CHI), or other relevant health IT certifications, preferred.
This position is office based at our Albany, NY or Jericho, NY office.The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $130,000.00. Actual salary range and /or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.
