The Opportunity

If you're energized by turning raw delivery data into decisions that actually move the needle, this role was built for you. As Director, Developer Effectiveness at Euna Solutions, you'll operate with executive visibility and a horizontal mandate - embedding alongside Development and IS Directors to surface waste, model ROI, and shape how the organization invests in its own productivity. This isn't an oversight function; it's a trusted advisory seat at the table, and your influence will be earned through the quality of your analysis.

What You'll Do:
  • Own the strategy for delivery data capture and instrumentation across all Development and IS teams
  • Identify waste, friction, and bottlenecks across the delivery lifecycle and translate findings into ranked, actionable priorities
  • Build and maintain productivity benchmarks using frameworks like DORA and SPACE, alongside custom metrics tailored to Euna's context
  • Model the ROI of productivity investments so Finance, the VP of Software Development, and the CTO can connect operational improvements to business outcomes
  • Partner directly with Dev and IS Directors to embed data-informed thinking into sprint planning and roadmap decisions
  • Develop and maintain an executive-facing productivity trend dashboard that tracks progress against established baselines
  • Identify innovation opportunities that can meaningfully accelerate developer and IS effectiveness


What You Bring:
  • Proven experience in an engineering effectiveness, developer productivity, or analytical operations role - ideally within a SaaS or software development environment
  • Deep familiarity with productivity frameworks such as DORA, SPACE, or equivalent, and the ability to adapt them to an organization's specific context
  • Strong financial and ROI modelling skills, with experience building investment cases that resonate with Finance and executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority - earning credibility through rigorous, actionable insight rather than positional power
  • Experience working horizontally across engineering or IS organizations, partnering with senior directors and VPs to shape priorities
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, building structure where little exists and establishing baselines from imperfect data


Nice-to-Have
  • Familiarity with tooling and instrumentation across CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking, or developer experience platforms
  • Prior exposure to backlog and roadmap governance in an Agile environment
  • Experience presenting productivity and ROI narratives directly to C-suite audiences


Location:
This position will be hybrid with 3 days/week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) in our Oakville, ON office.

Compensation Range: $150,000 - $190,000
