Your Impact

As Director, Design, you will lead and evolve the organization's design function, delivering high-quality, client-centric creative experiences that strengthen the brand and support business and marketing objectives. Reporting to the VP, Creative & Brand, you will lead a multidisciplinary team while shaping the future of the design organization through talent development, creative innovation, operational excellence, and AI-enabled transformation.

You will:
  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of designers, fostering creativity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Translate brand and creative strategy into scalable, high-quality design solutions across digital, omnichannel, and marketing experiences.
  • Coach and develop designers across all levels, establishing career pathways, development plans, and future leadership opportunities.
  • Shape the future design workforce by identifying capability gaps and developing skills across emerging disciplines such as creative strategy, content design, design specialization, and AI-enabled creative production.
  • Lead the adoption of AI-powered tools and workflows to improve creative productivity, scalability, automation, and effectiveness while maintaining brand and quality standards.
  • Oversee creative operations, including resource allocation, capacity planning, prioritization, workflow optimization, and project delivery.
  • Partner with Marketing, Communications, Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, and other stakeholders to translate business priorities into effective creative strategies.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the VP, Creative & Brand on workforce planning, organizational capability, technology adoption, and creative operations.
  • Champion brand stewardship and governance through design systems, templates, component libraries, and scalable creative standards.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement while ensuring the design organization remains agile and prepared for evolving business, technology, and marketing demands.

What You Need to Succeed
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in design, creative services, brand marketing, or a related field, including 10+ years leading creative teams.
  • Proven experience leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams and developing talent across varying levels of experience and specialization.
  • A strong track record of building high-performing teams, developing future leaders, and evolving organizational capabilities.
  • Experience leading teams through change, transformation, or operating model evolution within a corporate marketing, agency, or internal creative environment.
  • Strong creative judgment and expertise in design principles, visual communication, storytelling, brand systems, and creative strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience with creative operations, including workflow management, resource planning, capacity management, and process optimization.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, workforce planning, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing AI-powered creative tools, workflow optimization, automation, or creative enablement technologies.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and familiarity with modern design, collaboration, project management, and resource planning platforms.
  • Strong understanding of generative AI, prompt design, automation, and emerging creative technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.

Salary Range: $164,800 - $247,200; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.

California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
