A little bit about our team:

Homemade / WMX is Warner Music Group’s merchandise and e-commerce services division, focused on helping artists connect with fans through merchandise, physical music, touring, vip ticketing, retail, licensing and direct-to-consumer experiences.

We work at the intersection of creativity and commerce, partnering with artists, managers, and label teams to build thoughtful, high-quality products and experiences that fans care about, and marketing them to drive revenue and add value to our clients business. From artist stores and limited-edition vinyl to tour merchandise and global retail programs, we treat merch and physical products as meaningful extensions of an artist’s creative vision.

Homemade / WMX combines the global scale of Warner Music Group with an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach. We value collaboration, ownership, and curiosity, and we’re building a forward-thinking team that’s excited to evolve how artists reach and engage their audiences.

Your role:

The Director, D2C Properties will be responsible for identifying, developing, and scaling new direct-to-consumer properties for Homemade/WMX. This role focuses on building standalone ecommerce platforms and brands that expand Homemade/WMX reach beyond traditional artist stores, including genre-specific, lifestyle-driven, and non-traditional accounts such as gaming, social media brands, cultural communities, physical music specialty and more. The role blends strategy, creative development, marketing and execution, and will work closely with all departments and external vendors and partners.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Identify opportunities to build, acquire, or partner on new D2C commerce properties
  • Develop & launch standalone ecommerce platforms including ones currently in development
  • Oversee go-to-market strategy, brand positioning, and merchandising for new properties
  • Manage non-traditional accounts such as gaming, digital creators, and social-first brands
  • Incorporate physical music into these non-traditional properties
  • Evaluate performance and evolve properties based on customer data and demand
  • Build long-term roadmaps for expanding Homemade/WMX D2C portfolio

About you:

  • You are a builder who enjoys creating new businesses from the ground up
  • You understand culture, fandom, and how communities engage with commerce
  • You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and turning ideas into execution
  • You balance creative thinking with commercial discipline
  • You work well across teams and external partners

We’d love it if you also had:

  • Experience with relevant software such as Shopify, Klaviyo and Photoshop
  • Experience with social media content creation and management
  • 3-5 Years in a similar role
