Job DescriptionWe are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented professional to join as Director, Cross Border Acceptance and Strategy. This role, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Global Cross Border Acquiring, will support our global strategy to evolve and modernize the core cross-border business, with a particular focus on our cross-border acceptance and acquiring programs, rules and economics.
The successful candidate will manage and grow existing solutions and services as well as develop and implement new ones. The role will interact extensively across a variety of global and regional functions, including pricing and interchange, legal, government engagement, treasury, risk, regional/local market teams. A key proponent will be aligning with executives and collaborating across markets with cross-functional stakeholders.
Essential Functions- Global Acquiring Strategy manage associated workstreams related to cross-border acceptance and acquiring, including measurement and tracking systems, processing solution development, rules/pricing evolution, compliance and risk policies, legal and government engagement gameplan, internal and client communications, and executive and regional alignment.
- XB Solutions: Develop new solutions and partner with key functions like network processing, value-added services and treasury teams to design, develop, pilot and scale net-new capabilities to grow cross-border acceptance. Represent the cross-border team throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring continued strategic alignment and on-schedule delivery.
- Program Management: Support existing cross-border acquiring programs by implementing process efficiencies, developing client facing content, training internal stakeholders, and launching enhancements. Become an SME for cross-border acceptance and be comfortable with direct client interaction on complex cross-border topics.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Proven experience in a strategic role in management consulting or within a global organization, focusing on cross-border initiatives and/or corporate strategy.
- Strong understanding of international markets, the global payments ecosystem, and current innovation trends related to cross-border payments.
- Strong record of collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with global teams and stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to drive change and implement new strategies.
- Proficiency in project management and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in driving global initiatives.
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
U.S. Applicants OnlyThe estimated salary range for this position is $192,300.00 to $ 307,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
