Job Overview

The Director, Corporate Data leads the Data & AI strategy and delivery agenda across the DePuy Synthes Corporate Technology landscape - spanning ERP, HR, Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Corporate Affairs applications. Working in close collaboration with Corporate Technology teams, this role translates business and functional needs into a prioritized portfolio of data, analytics, and AI initiatives, manages demand end-to-end, and coordinates with the Global Capability Center (GCC) for scalable delivery. The Director serves as the primary connection point between Corporate Technology stakeholders, IT partners, and GCC delivery teams - ensuring data products, analytics, and AI capabilities are aligned to enterprise priorities and drive measurable outcomes across corporate functions. This role requires strong business partnership, data leadership, and people leadership to advance data-driven decision making and operational excellence across the corporate technology domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the Corporate Data & AI strategy in partnership with Corporate Technology and IT leadership, aligned to DePuy Synthes enterprise priorities.


  • Work in close collaboration with Corporate Technology teams to understand needs from a Data and AI perspective across ERP, HR, Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Corporate Affairs applications.


  • Own end-to-end demand management - intake, prioritization, and governance - for corporate data, analytics, and AI initiatives.


  • Coordinate with the GCC to plan, resource, and deliver data products, analytics, and AI capabilities at scale.


  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Corporate Technology, IT, Data & AI teams, and the GCC delivery organization.


  • Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap for corporate data products, reporting, advanced analytics, and AI use cases.


  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and deliver data solutions supporting ERP, HR, Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Corporate Affairs processes.


  • Drive adoption of data governance, master data management, data quality, and data stewardship practices across corporate data domains.


  • Oversee delivery of dashboards, analytics products, predictive models, and AI-enabled solutions that improve decision making and function performance.


  • Establish KPI and value-realization frameworks to track business impact from data and AI investments.


  • Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate roadmaps, priorities, risks, dependencies, and achievements to leadership.


  • Build organizational capability by coaching, mentoring, and developing talent across data, analytics, and AI teams, including GCC-based colleagues.


  • Lead operating and portfolio governance reviews to ensure transparency, prioritization, and alignment across workstreams.


  • Champion continuous improvement through advanced analytics, automation, machine learning, and emerging AI capabilities.


Qualifications

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.


  • Preferred: Master's degree (MBA, Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline).


Experience and Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of progressive experience across Data & Analytics, Corporate/Enterprise Technology, or Digital Transformation, including leadership roles.


  • Demonstrated experience partnering with business and IT leaders to define and deliver enterprise data and AI strategies.


  • Strong understanding of corporate technology domains and their data (ERP, HR, Legal, Procurement, Finance, Corporate Affairs).


  • Proven experience managing demand, prioritization frameworks, and delivery portfolios.


  • Experience coordinating distributed/GCC delivery teams in a global, matrixed organization.


  • Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, master data management, and the data lifecycle.


  • Experience with enterprise data platforms, reporting, and advanced analytics environments.


  • Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and influencing skills.


  • Demonstrated people leadership including talent development, coaching, and performance management.


Preferred

  • Experience with AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation use cases across corporate functions.


  • Experience supporting SAP-based ERP and enterprise corporate application landscapes.


  • Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms and analytics ecosystems.


  • Experience establishing or leading GCC delivery models.


  • Experience in MedTech, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.


  • Knowledge of product-oriented delivery and agile product management practices.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
