Full Job Description
Job purpose

As the Director of Corporate Compliance, you will support the development, administration and management of compliance and quality control programs for NewPoint Real Estate Capital. You will work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to support the oversight and coordination of internal risk management systems, including policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring that best practices, applicable laws and regulatory requirements are properly implemented and adhered to. As needed, you will collaborate and work closely legal, accounting, HR, IT, servicing, underwriting, and closing departments to coordinate compliance functions that support the operation. This role also works closely with our external audit teams and the risk management division of NewPoint Real Estate Capital and coordinate internal audits as needed.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Work with department leaders to assess regulatory requirements, identify the company's risks and determine the adequacy of existing policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits with all applicable departments involved in the audit to ensure efficient, accurate and timely completion.
  • Support the development of a strong quality control program & testing and ensure that reviews are performed timely, results are documented properly, and weaknesses are identified and addressed immediately.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across all departments and with applicable external auditing firms.
  • Recommend updates and/or changes to current policies and procedures to senior management as needed to ensure overall compliance is met.
  • Monitor recurring Agency/Regulatory deliverable deadlines to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Attend industry meetings, conferences and seminars to stay current on compliance issues and Agency requirements.
  • Support the Compliance department's work by working closely with the legal department on vendor management, employee training and regulatory/legal compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with the IT department to ensure compliance with system access documentation requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day compliance operation, prioritizing internal and external requests and coordinating deliverables.
  • All other similar tasks as needed.
