Job Summary:

The Director, Corporate Communications has a critical role in shaping how the world sees Beeline Medicines, developing and executing an integrated internal and external communications strategy that advances the Company's reputation, supports its business objectives, and strengthens relationships with key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, this person manages the Company's external profile across corporate, product, digital, and social content and builds a transparent, cohesive employee communications program. The Director, Corporate Communications partners with Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, People & Culture, and other internal functions - and manages agency partners - to ensure messaging is consistent across channels. The Director also has the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership - including the CEO, President & COO, CMO, CTOO, and CPO - on the Company's highest-priority communications. This is a rare build-from-the-ground-up opportunity: as one of the first dedicated communications hires the Director, Corporate Communications will build the strategies, processes, and infrastructure that define how Beeline Medicines tells its story and advances its mission.

Work Arrangement & Location:

Hybrid - This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring a minimum of two (2) days on-site per week - currently designated as Tuesday and Wednesday. Additional on-site days may be required based on business needs, team priorities, or leadership direction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead key corporate communications workstreams in partnership with the Head of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations, providing strategic counsel and hands-on execution across messaging, press materials, media relations, executive communications, announcements, presentations, and thought leadership content.
  • Plan and execute communications for pipeline and product milestones, including clinical data presentations, medical congresses, publications, regulatory events, and other key moments in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage corporate social media and digital channels, including LinkedIn, the corporate website, and other platforms; ensure content is timely, accurate, engaging, and aligned with the company's voice and priorities.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs and Patient Advocacy to support relationships with patient advocacy organizations and develop disease awareness communications, campaigns, and patient-focused engagement materials.
  • Lead internal communications programs, including employee updates, all-hands materials, and culture-building content that keep employees informed, connected, and engaged with the company's mission and progress.
  • Support executive thought leadership by developing messaging, speaking points, social posts, and other materials that raise the visibility of company leaders and reinforce key messages.
  • Build and manage communications processes, calendars, tools, agency workflows, budgets, and measurement practices that help the function operate efficiently and scale with the business.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Communications, Business, Journalism, Public Relations, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive corporate communications experience in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry; prior experience at a publicly traded or late-stage clinical biotech company strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing corporate communications programs across clinical-stage milestones (IND, Phase 1/2/3 data readouts, regulatory submissions), and corporate events.
  • Experience managing external agency partners and vendors with high degree of sound judgment and discretion.
  • Established relationships with life sciences and financial media, with proven track record managing media inquiries, proactive pitching, and crisis communications preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail; ability to quickly learn the business and distill complex scientific and business information into clear, accessible language.
  • Skilled storyteller across multiple formats - press releases, presentations, Q&A docs, bylined articles, social content, and internal announcements.
  • Strong command of digital content strategy and visual storytelling, including briefing and directing creative agencies across channels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Experience with digital communications, content, and media-monitoring/analytics tools (e.g., LinkedIn, WordPress, Cision/PR Newswire, Meltwater, Brandwatch, Canva, intranet platforms, email marketing, and digital signage) preferred.
  • Creative problem-solver; collaborative, proactive, and mission-driven, and comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast-growing company.
  • Proven ability to work with senior executives, operate under pressure, manage multiple high priority workstreams with the utmost integrity, and make rapid decisions with appropriate escalation.
  • Strong active listening and interpersonal skills; builds trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders with tact and empathy
  • Some travel required for conferences, investor events, and company meetings (estimated up to 20%).


Salary Range:

The expected salary range for this position varies by location and will be communicated based on the country or region in which the selected candidate is hired. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by applicable local law. A discretionary annual bonus and long-term incentive award (e.g., equity) may be available based on individual and Company performance.
