Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and address discrepancies promptly

  • Record payroll journal entries in cooperation with HR/payroll provider
  • Assist in preparing sales tax filings and other compliance documentation
  • Respond to internal requests for financial transaction history and reporting

Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned self-starter to support our Head of Finance as we continue to expand our operations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, preferably with a background at a top-tier accounting firm. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work directly with the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books using QuickBooks
• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payment processing
• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including customer invoicing, collections follow-up, and cash application
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Support the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entry preparation
• Maintain and organize supporting documentation for all transactions
• Process and record payroll journal entries in coordination with HR/payroll provider
• Assist with preparation of sales tax filings and other compliance requirements
• Respond to internal requests for transaction history, documentation, and reporting
• Identify and flag bookkeeping errors or process gaps to the Head of Finance

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as Senior Corporate Accountant or Director of Accounting in a corporate environment, CPA preferred
• Solid understanding of double-entry accounting and basic GAAP principles
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process .
• Experience with inventory or manufacturing accounting is strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

Salary Description

$120,000 - $170,000 per year+ performance bonus
