Director Conversions, Modifications, & Upgrades (CM&U)

Position Summary

Under direction of the VP Commercial Operations, responsible for establishing and managing the Conversion, Modification, and Upgrades (CM&U) organization's project management framework, including developing policies, selecting methodologies, and overseeing a portfolio of projects to ensure they align with strategic goals. Key duties include governance (ensure adherence to project management and engineering standards and policies), team leadership (hiring, mentoring project engineers), project oversight (monitoring progress, managing risks), and strategic alignment (connecting project efforts to business objectives). The role requires strong leadership, communication, and deep knowledge of project management principles and tools. Position Responsibilities
  • Top 3 Essential KPIs: Customer Satisfaction, On-Time delivery, Project & Contract Profitability.
  • Align projects and programs with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Work with senior leadership to define project roadmaps and prioritize initiatives that provide the most business value.
  • Establish, implement, and govern project management processes, policies, tools, and templates.
  • Ensure projects adhere to engineering standards, processes, quality controls, and policies.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor project engineers and other project staff.
  • Oversee overall CM&U project portfolio to ensure consistent execution and delivery.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, budget, and timeliness.
  • Direct risk and issue management, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • LM2500 and LM6000 experience.
  • Experience utilizing project management tools and processes, including experience with MS Project or Primavera software packages.
  • 5+ years' experience in leading project engineering and/or project management organizations.
  • Must be fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
