A Day in the Life

As a Director of SG&A, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company's Selling, General, and Administrative expenses to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with strategic business objectives. You will oversee the financial planning, analysis, and reporting of SG&A costs, working closely with business stakeholders and finance leaders. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Manage the month-end, trend, and budget reporting calendar, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Conduct monthly tracking of all Risks & Opportunities and prepare Compass reports to inform decision-making. Partner with Brand Controllers to exchange budget, trend, and actual data, ensuring alignment and accuracy.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Facilitate regular meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and cost control measures. Provide actionable insights to management regarding the business implications of spending decisions.
  • Leadership & problem-solving: Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit by taking initiative, driving contributions, and striving to improve performance. Build structured action plans to improve work efficiency and propose solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned finance professional with a robust background in financial analysis, strategic planning, and operational oversight. You bring a results-driven mindset, coupled with very good problem-solving skills and a sharp ability to interpret complex data to drive business decisions. A natural leader and effective communicator, you excel at building collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating both autonomy and teamwork, with a strong focus on delivering value and achieving organizational goals.

  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A. Minimum 5 years of experience managing/leading teams
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Autonomy: Identifies challenges, implements solutions, and escalates issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
