Job Description

The Consumer Data Platform & Analytics Enablement Director is a new position within Sandisk's Global Consumer Intelligence & Analytics ("CIA") function. The mission of CIA is to enable our "Consumer at the Center" strategy, by driving consumer centricity into decision-making that drives company growth. This role will be the leading voice for the Consumer data domain and will manage the Consumer domain within our corporate Lakehouse architecture. Ultimately, this role will deliver a Power BI-first and fully agentic AI-enabled ecosystem to enable self-serve business data and reporting at scale. This role is expected to deliver meaningful, production-ready Consumer data products and KPIs on a regular cadence, while legacy reporting is maintained in parallel during transition.

We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented leader with a strong bias for action and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, and adept at working with complex marketplace data (scanner, media response) and internally-generated data (shipments, financial reporting). You must possess strong leadership qualities, drive continuous improvement, establish best practices, and build strong partnerships across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with the corporate Enterprise Data & AI and Consumer Data Teams to own the Consumer division's curated ("silver" and "gold") data layers, including harmonization of external market data with corporate sources, in alignment with enterprise lakehouse and governance standards,
  • Drive data "AI-readiness" to help future-proof the data ecosystem, inclusive of metadata curation and documentation of business logic,
  • Develop and operate the Consumer BI ecosystem on the corporate lakehouse platform (e.g., PowerBI, Databricks), enabling scalable self-service by analysts and business users,
  • Enable integration of AI into business reporting and underlying analysis, in order to build early warning systems and to identify underlying business trends worthy of future study, and
  • Partner with Consumer division leadership to ensure downstream analysis applications and BI stack are delivering reliable, efficient, and valuable service.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:
  • 10+ years relevant experience (consumer tech, consumer electronics, or CPG industries preferred),
  • Demonstrated history of business impact through data ecosystem development, data engineering, or Development/Operations (DevOps) organization leadership,
  • Data modeling & harmonization experience, including with vendors with varying product/timing hierarchies,
  • Ability to deliver strong data transformation results inside corporate guardrails (e.g., security and access, governance, intake, and prioritization), and
  • Experience designing AI-ready data platforms, including semantic modeling, metadata management, and governed self-service analytics.
  • Direct AI implementation experience is a plus but not required for the role.

SKILLS:
  • Strong aptitude for data model creation, ideally to include experience in data engineering, analytic application development, and data ecosystem development and operations,
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills at executive levels, with the ability to interpret and summarize data to aid management in achieving strategic and operational goals,
  • Team leadership experience, especially management of multiple IT disciplines (Engineering, DevOps),
  • Confidence and presence collaborating with and presenting to executive staff,
  • Ability to effectively manage projects; results-oriented and able to roll-up sleeves to deliver critical tasks,
  • A self-starter comfortable in a project-oriented, high-growth environment.
  • While this role is not expected to write significant amounts of code, the right candidate will be able to read, critique, and improve data models and specific transformations.
