Position Description: At CGI, we partner with clients to drive mission critical outcomes. The United States Postal Service (USPS) represents a significant whitespace growth opportunity for CGI, and the Director, Consulting Services (DCS) will serve as the executive leader responsible for building, shaping, and leading CGI's market entry and expansion at USPS.
In this role, you will chart CGI's USPS strategy from the ground up-cultivating new relationships, establishing CGI's presence, and developing a sustainable pipeline of opportunities in alignment with USPS's modernization and operational priorities. You will act as a trusted advisor to emerging USPS stakeholders while leading high performing teams that deliver innovative solutions and demonstrate the full value of CGI's capabilities. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Client Relationship & Business Development Ownership
Serve as the primary relationship lead for USPS, developing a deep understanding of USPS strategic priorities, operational challenges, and transformation initiatives.
Drive business development across USPS accounts-including identifying growth opportunities, shaping capture strategies, leading proposals, and expanding CGI's services footprint.
Position CGI's capabilities (consulting, digital modernization, analytics, cybersecurity, automation, and enterprise platforms) to align with USPS needs.
Engagement Delivery Excellence & Governance
Oversee delivery of CGI services across USPS programs (or other customers as assigned), ensuring application of CGI management frameworks, performance, quality, financial stewardship, and SLA/contractual compliance.
Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering technology, consulting, and operational support. Act as engagement manages for assigned projects or services maintaining accountability for engagement outcomes.
Ensure engagements are predictable, well managed, and continuously improving through proactive issue resolution, risk management, and client communication.
People Leadership
Assigning, recruiting and supporting the career development of team members
Fostering the development of the team's capabilities and expertise in line with client needs / market evolution
Build, mentor, and grow consulting teams-supporting staffing, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable culture aligned with CGI's values.
Operational & Financial Management
Leading and managing to achieve targeted budget, revenue and profitability.
Apply CGI management frameworks to drive stable operations, effective governance, and strategic account planning.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 10+ years of business development, consulting or program delivery, experience supporting federal agencies or large national enterprises; USPS experience strongly preferred.
Proven track record of business development, including successful capture, proposal leadership, opportunity qualification, and relationship expansion ; USPS experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of logistics, shipping, post and related domains relevant to USPS strongly preferred.
Strong executive communication and client facing skills, with the ability to influence senior USPS stakeholders.
Financial acumen including forecasting, P&L awareness, margin management, and portfolio planning.
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
Ability to obtain and maintain any federal background screening / clearance required by our customers.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
Experience managing teams and building high performing consulting or delivery organizations.
Familiarity with enterprise modernization solutions such as cloud platforms, digital workflow automation, analytics, or enterprise financial/operational systems.
Prior experience with AI enabled transformation initiatives or data driven operational optimization.
Demonstrated thought leadership, innovation mindset, and comfort engaging with senior technical and operational
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $194,000.00.
