Full Job Description
The Role

WORK REMOTELY BASED OUT OF CHICAGO, NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY, CONNECTICUT

Kyndryl Consult is the fastest-growing business within the organization and instrumental to the company's strategic growth objectives. As a Consult Partner, you will play a key leadership role across multi-disciplinary teams, guiding them through complex consulting engagements and creating strategic change agendas within Kyndryl's largest accounts across the C-suite - spanning the intersection of complex business and IT transformation.

We are hiring a Consult Partner to drive meaningful growth within an existing portfolio of insurance accounts. These accounts have foundational relationships in place but represent significant white space - limited Kyndryl footprint with substantial runway for expansion. This is a hunter-farmer hybrid role for someone who thrives in building from a base, not inheriting a mature book of business.

You will own, run, and grow a targeted set of accounts - focusing your energy where you have the greatest right to win and where clients have an immediate need to modernize mission-critical business lines through AI-driven transformation.

Sector Focus
  • Deep expertise in the Specialty Insurance market, including complex, high-risk and bespoke coverage models
  • Strong understanding of specialty underwriting, broker-driven distribution, and tailored policy structures
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) experience is a strong plus, particularly where it intersects with specialty lines
  • Additional familiarity with Life Insurance and broker ecosystems is beneficial

Sales & Client Engagement
  • Proven ability to build pipeline and close deals within Specialty Insurance, across carriers, MGAs, and brokers
  • Ability to identify whitespace opportunities and position transformation-led engagements
  • Trusted advisor who can guide clients through modernization journeys, aligning business needs with technology solutions
  • Effective at communicating value to both Lines of Business (Underwriting, Claims, Operations) and IT organizations

Core Capabilities
  • Strong understanding of insurance core platforms, including:
    • Policy Administration Systems (Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, etc.)
    • Underwriting and workflow orchestration tools
    • Claims platforms (especially in specialty/P&C environments)
  • Ability to sell transformation of legacy technology estates, positioning modernization as a driver of growth and efficiency

Agentic AI & Value Proposition
  • Ability to lead with and sell Agentic AI-driven transformation, including:
    • Orchestrating complex underwriting workflows
    • Automating case-based decisioning and risk evaluation
    • Enhancing broker and agent engagement models
  • Positions AI in terms of tangible business outcomes, such as:
    • Accelerated underwriting cycles and deal velocity
    • Improved pricing and risk accuracy
    • Scalable operations for bespoke products
  • P&C knowledge (plus):
    • Ability to articulate how Agentic AI transforms claims, including FNOL, triage, adjudication, and fraud detection
    • Experience positioning AI within major policy administration ecosystems (Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco preferred)

Market Presence
  • Established relationships across Specialty carriers, brokers, and MGAs in the Midwest and/or Northeast
  • Recognized as a sales leader and trusted advisor in AI-driven insurance transformation

Who You Are
What You Will Do

Account Growth & Business Development
  • Inherit a small portfolio of insurance accounts with existing paperwork and base-level traction - then grow them into sizable, meaningful revenue relationships
  • Operate with a hunter-farmer mindset: open new doors within existing accounts while identifying and converting net-new opportunities
  • Focus growth where you have the greatest right to win, prioritizing clients with immediate AI transformation needs and mission-critical modernization agendas
  • Support the identification, pursuit, and conversion of a pipeline of opportunities; manage scoping, fee negotiation, and risk across engagements

Client Engagement
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with client CXOs and senior executives - becoming a trusted advisor and the go-to person for strategic technology decisions
  • Lead C-level client interactions and consulting initiatives, delivering high-quality outcomes alongside senior stakeholders
  • Drive client satisfaction as measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS) and secure client references for expanded engagement

Financial Accountability
  • Drive significant financial outcomes through signings, revenue targets, and backlog growth
  • Ensure sustained profitability, managing margin expectations across engagements
  • Achieve individual and team utilization targets while maintaining delivery excellence

Leadership & Strategic Contribution
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams through complex consulting engagements, fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and continuous development
  • Utilize insurance industry and technology expertise to shape Kyndryl's strategic initiatives and align with the company's broader vision
  • Drive external eminence - developing thought leadership, intellectual capital, and a strong personal and organizational brand in the market

What You Bring
  • Proven, repeatable track record of owning, growing, and expanding accounts from a small base into significant revenue relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in white space - building relationships and pipeline in markets where infrastructure and brand recognition are still developing
  • Experience in a hunter-farmer hybrid capacity with measurable outcomes in both account expansion and new logo development
  • Comfort engaging at the CXO level with credibility, gravitas, and the ability to advise on both business strategy and technology transformation
  • Familiarity with AI-driven transformation use cases and the ability to articulate their value to insurance sector executives
  • Existing market relationships that accelerate time-to-trust with target accounts
