Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Director of Connectivity Programs provides strategic leadership for the planning, execution, and performance of connectivity programs across customer, product development, and supplier engagements. This role leads cross-functional teams to deliver against business objectives and customer commitments while managing program scope, schedule, budget, and risk. The Director serves as a senior point of contact for aircraft OEM customers and key stakeholders, drives governance and escalation processes, and supports long-term growth through disciplined execution, roadmap alignment, and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee connectivity program management across assigned customer programs, internal development initiatives, and supplier engagements
  • Act as the senior customer-facing leader for aircraft OEMs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding program scope, priorities, schedule, cost, and risk
  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution across engineering, product management, operations, quality, certification, supply chain, and customer support
  • Establish governance, performance metrics, executive reviews, and decision-making processes to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer commitments
  • Own program financial performance, including budget planning, forecasting, change control, and escalation of variances
  • Direct risk, issue, and dependency management activities, including mitigation planning, contingency actions, and executive communication
  • Drive alignment between customer programs and product roadmaps to support strategic growth, delivery readiness, and long-term portfolio objectives
  • Mentor program managers and promote best practices in program execution, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Systems Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in program management, product development, or delivery of complex technical products and services, including leadership of cross-functional teams
  • 10+ years of experience in connectivity, inflight connectivity, satellite communications, avionics, or related aerospace systems
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior program management or leadership role, with demonstrated success driving execution, influencing technical direction, and supporting strategic decisions
  • Proven success leading customer-facing programs with aircraft OEMs, major suppliers, systems integrators, or comparable strategic partners
  • Strong understanding of aerospace development lifecycles, certification and qualification requirements, and applicable industry standards such as DO-160, DO-254, or EASA Part 21
  • Experience managing program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, change control, and performance reporting
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification is preferred

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $168,500 - 189,500 per year however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
