The Director, Compliance is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization's compliance program, ensuring adherence to applicable federaland state regulations, industry standards, client requirements, and internal policies. This leader serves as a trusted partner to operational and executive leadership, promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement while mitigating organizational risk.
TheDirector, Compliance will develop, implement, and monitor compliance initiatives that support organizational objectives and regulatory requirements across healthcare revenue cycle operations.
KeyResponsibilitiesComplianceProgram Leadership- Develop,implement, and maintain an effective compliance program aligned with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Monitorchanges in healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards and assess organizational impact.
- Establishcompliance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risk and promote adherence to applicable regulations.
- Leadcompliance risk assessments and develop action plans to address identified gaps.
RegulatoryOversight & Risk Management- Ensurecompliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and applicable revenue cycle requirements.
- Investigatecompliance concerns, regulatory inquiries, and reported violations.
- Partnerwith Legal, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Information Security, and Operations to resolve identified issues.
- Maintaindocumentation supporting compliance activities, corrective actions, and regulatory readiness.
Auditing& Monitoring- Directongoing auditing and monitoring activities to evaluate compliance effectiveness.
- Analyzetrends and audit findings to identify areas of risk and improvement.
- Developand oversee corrective action plans and monitor progress through resolution.
- Reportaudit outcomes and compliance metrics to executive leadership.
Education& Culture- Promotea culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organization.
- Developand deliver compliance education and awareness programs.
- Provideguidance and coaching to leaders and associates regarding compliance-related matters.
- Fosteropen communication and encourage reporting of compliance concerns.
Leadership& Strategic Partnership- Serveas a strategic advisor to executive leadership on compliance matters.
- Leadand develop compliance team members through coaching, mentoring, and performance development.
- Collaboratewith operational leaders to embed compliance best practices into daily workflows.
- Supportorganizational growth initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.
QualificationsRequired- Bachelor'sdegree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- 8+years of progressive healthcare compliance, regulatory, audit, risk management, or revenue cycle leadership experience.
- 5+years of leadership experience managing teams and compliance programs.
- Strongknowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, CMS, OIG guidance, and healthcare compliance frameworks.
- Demonstratedexperience conducting investigations, audits, and risk assessments.
- Excellentcommunication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
Preferred- Master'sdegree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Law, or related field.
- Healthcarecompliance certification (CHC, CHPC, CHRC, CCEP, or equivalent).
- Experiencesupporting large, multi-site healthcare systems or revenue cycle organizations.
- Experiencepresenting compliance findings and recommendations to executive leadership and boards.
