POSITION SUMMARY:The Director of Commercial Private Credit is an execution-focused role responsible for driving consistent deal flow and contributing to the growth of a high-performing credit origination platform. This role is based in South Florida with specific coverage of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
The candidate will originate, structure, and execute transactions by leveraging deep and expanding relationships with business owners, C-suite executives, private equity sponsors, financial institutions, and other key referral sources.
The role requires the ability to independently develop and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, deliver customized financing solutions to lower and middle-market companies (typically $10M-$150M in revenue), and ensure alignment with credit standards, structuring discipline, and return objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Source, originate, and structure commercial private credit transactions.
- Meet monthly, quarterly and annual funding targets.
- Build relationships with companies, financial sponsors and strategic advisors.
- Execute Southeast Commercial Private Credit Playbook.
- Establish Libertas as a leading private credit provider in the region.
- Oversee full deal lifecycle.
- Partner with underwriting and risk teams.
- Partner with senior leadership on growth initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Independently manage and consistently meet your funding targets and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:- 10 + years in commercial lending or private credit.
- Self-motivated with the ability to self-source opportunities in assigned market channel.
- Strong and proven track record of deal origination and execution.
- Deep understanding of the financial markets and alternative financing.
- Strong written and oral communications skills required.
- Ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels of the organization.
- Strong South Florida market network.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree required; Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred
- MBA Preferred
Salary Range: $150-185K
