Summary

The Director, Commercial Decision Science will lead the evolution of Business Intelligence into a modern, AI-enabled decision science capability for Bell Business Markets. This role will establish the commercial analytics, predictive modelling, KPI governance, and decision-support capabilities required to improve revenue growth, margin performance, customer retention, sales effectiveness, and executive decision-making. Operating at the intersection of commercial strategy, advanced analytics, AI/ML, and business intelligence, the Director will lead a multidisciplinary team of BI professionals, analysts, and data scientists to deliver trusted insights, predictive models, recommendations, and performance frameworks that guide decisions across Marketing, Sales, Pricing, Product, Finance, AI, and Customer Retention.

Key Responsibilities
• Establish and govern the enterprise commercial KPI framework and modern decision-support tools to guide commercial strategy across Bell Business Markets.
• Lead the development, adoption and governance of predictive and prescriptive models including customer acquisition, churn, pricing optimization, and customer lifetime value.
• Drive revenue growth and margin optimization initiatives by measuring pricing elasticity and evaluating commercial investment returns.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership in AI, Marketing, Sales, Pricing, and Product to build consensus on metrics and ensure trusted, consistent enterprise definitions to drive adoption.
• Direct and scale a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, business intelligence professionals, and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and business impact.
• Transform traditional business intelligence reporting into an AI-powered capability offering next-best-action recommendations and prescriptive insights.
• Deliver actionable customer, market, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities across various customer segments and industry verticals.
• Support strategic planning and executive decision-making with robust analytical models, business cases, and long-range forecasting.

Critical Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a highly quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, decision science, or advanced analytics, preferably within a B2B, telecom, or technology sector.
• Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, data analysts, and BI engineers.
• Deep expertise in building and deploying predictive and prescriptive analytical models, customer segmentation, churn prevention, and pricing optimization frameworks.
• Strong familiarity with advanced analytics technologies, including AI/ML frameworks, SQL, Python, R, and modern BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy.
• Familiarity with data governance, semantic layers, metric definitions, responsible AI, and model lifecycle management.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and quantitative models into clear, actionable commercial strategies for executive leadership.
• Experience building analytics products or decision-support capabilities that are adopted by business users, not just creating reports or models.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and create decision alignment where data, business judgment, and trade-offs intersect.
• Ability to translate analytical outputs into executive narratives, business cases, investment choices, and operational action plans.
