Job DescriptionThe Director of Clinical operations will lead the strategic and operational direction of Maternity Services, advancing exceptional care experiences for patients, families, and team members. This role provides administrative leadership for a multidisciplinary care center, with responsibility for clinical quality, service excellence, operational performance, and resource stewardship.
The Director partners with clinical and operational leaders to develop and execute business and unit plans that improve outcomes, elevate customer service, and support efficient, sustainable care delivery. This position aligns the care center's vision and priorities with Riley Children's Hospital's mission, values, and excellence goals across people, service, financial, and clinical performance.
The Director may hold 24-hour accountability for assigned operations and is expected to foster a collaborative, high-performing environment focused on safety, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Candidate QualificationsCandidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
- Masters of Nursing or related field is required or actively enrolled.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- Requires completion Clinical Specialty Professional Certification within 1 year upon meeting eligibility requirements.
- Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience.
