Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. The Supply Chain team is at the heart of the strategy in our Claims organization. Being a part of the largest business unit within Intact, the exposure of this role crosses many business units within Claims and our Intact strategies. This role is the voice and interpretation of our results within claims and is heavily reliant to provide consulting on trends and actions to stakeholders widely in the organization.
About This Role:
The
Director, Claims Supply Chain leads the strategy, operations, and performance of Property Supply Chain within Intact's Claims organization. The role collaborates closely with senior leaders in Claims, Procurement, and other operational business units, as well as executive stakeholders, to optimize supplier performance, advance strategic initiatives, deliver national projects, and achieve cost, operational quality, and customer service objectives. The Director also leads a national team and fosters strong, collaborative relationships across the supply chain function.
What you'll do here:
- Oversee processes and operations and drive strategy for Property Supply Chain
- Support the Claims and Procurement departments in their projects and initiatives
- Analyze, recommend, and implement strategic projects to optimize supply chain management
- Ensure optimal performance of quantitative and qualitative indicators related to the operational performance of suppliers
- Lead or contribute to national projects to meet quality, schedule and cost objectives while ensuring that projects meet the company's high customer service standards and objectives
- Participate in the operations and deployment of projects and collaborative policies by planning, directing, and controlling the various operational phases
- Ensure constant and professional communication with the various business partners to establish relationships based on trust and collaboration
- Responsible for negotiating contracts with strategic suppliers
- Drive initiatives towards achieving Net Zero and promote sustainability within the supply chain
What You Bring to the Table:
- Post secondary education: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Actuarial Science - is required
- Minimum 10-years professional experience: Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Property & Casualty insurance - is required
- Minimum 5-years experience leading direct reports nationally, including performance management, coaching, and career development - is required
- Ability to travel nationally is required
- Strong ability to create presentations and present to all levels including executive leadership
- Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction and guide execution with strong project and change management skills
- Relationship Building: Excellent skills in building relationships based on trust and collaboration, effectively influencing diverse groups
- Commitment to Sustainability: Knowledgeable about sustainable practices with a focus on continuous improvement
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
