Job Description

Purpose

We are looking for a people-first change leader to serve as Director of Finance Transformation Change Management & Enablement. In this highly visible role, you will lead the people, process, and adoption strategy for Finance Transformation initiatives - including technology implementations, operating model redesign, process standardization, and culture evolution. This role will ensure Finance employees and leaders are equipped to adopt new ways of working, build required capabilities, and sustain change over time.

The role requires deep collaboration with Finance leaders, HR Business Partners, technology teams, and external vendors to deliver integrated solutions that drive business performance and will also be responsible for the development and execution of Finance-wide programs and strategies that enhance employee engagement and support the company's business performance and growth objectives.

You will be a trusted advisor to the senior leaders, a strategic partner across functions and geographies, and a builder of organizational change capability at scale. This is a leadership role for someone who sees change as a competitive advantage and knows how to make it stick.

The successful candidate will translate Finance Transformation priorities into practical change, communication, training, and adoption plans that improve process effectiveness, employee readiness, and business performance.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and own the strategy, methodology and governance model, establishing a sustained organizational capability rather than a project add-on.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership on all major Finance Transformation initiatives.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of practitioners, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Champion a digital-first, data-driven approach to change, leveraging AI tools, analytics, and real-time adoption metrics.

Change Execution
  • Lead end-to-end change management for Finance Transformation programs including technology transformations and strategic culture initiatives.
  • Develop and execute integrated change management plans: stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, readiness assessments, communication strategies, and training/capability building programs.
  • Partner with Finance process owners to translate process changes into clear roles, behaviors, training needs, adoption plans, and success measures.
  • Identify and proactively manage resistance, change fatigue, and adoption barriers across diverse employee populations.
  • Drive cultural alignment efforts, particularly in support of transformation programs.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Build trusted relationships with executive sponsors, functional leaders, HR business partners, and front-line managers to embed change management best practices.
  • Design and execute multi-channel, audience-specific communication campaigns that create clarity, build belief, and inspire action.
  • Facilitate executive alignment sessions, workshops, and other forums to accelerate decision-making and coalition building.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and track KPIs for change adoption, employee engagement, readiness, and sustained behavior change.
  • Use real-time data, pulse surveys, and sentiment analysis to continuously refine change strategies and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Codify lessons learned and embed them into an evolving Finance Organizational Change Management (OCM) playbook.

Qualifications

Required Experience
  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience in organizational change management, organizational effectiveness, or enterprise transformation.
  • Demonstrated success leading change management for enterprise-scale programs (ERP, M&A, operating model redesign, digital transformation).
  • Proven ability to influence and advise C-suite and senior executive stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Experience building and scaling change management teams, centers of excellence, or enterprise change capabilities.
  • Deep expertise in a wide range of change management methodologies - Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, McKinsey Influence Model or equivalent.
  • Strong project management discipline, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously and deliver results on time; PMP or equivalent certification a plus.
  • Experience working in matrixed, global, complex organizations.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) with executive presence and ability to facilitate engaging learning experiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled change tools and digital adoption platforms.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required in Organizational Psychology, Business, Communications, HR, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred (MBA, I/O Psychology, Organizational Development).
  • Prosci Change Practitioner Certification strongly preferred.
