POSITION TITLE: Director, Capital Markets

Position Summary:

The Director of Capital Markets provides strategic leadership for capital markets activities supporting reverse mortgage portfolios, with specialized expertise in Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (HECM), HECM remediation, and secondary market execution. This role is responsible for optimizing loan sale strategies, managing investor relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading remediation initiatives that mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risk.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Examples below:
• Direct HECM remediation initiatives by identifying loan deficiencies, overseeing corrective action plans, and ensuring timely resolution of FHA, HUD, and Ginnie Mae compliance issues to reduce repurchase risk and financial exposure.
• Work in conjunction with other departments and third parties to execute requests and create process efficiencies
• Support execution of HECM securitizations, loan sales, and related capital markets transactions.
• Monitor changes to FHA, Ginnie Mae, and investor requirements affecting reverse mortgage products.
• Maintain expertise in FHA reverse mortgage regulations, HECM program requirements, and investor guidelines.

Key Result Areas:
• Leadership and oversight of operational processes supporting HECM delivery and capital markets execution.
• Drive continuous process and execution improvement initiatives
• Ensure timely movement of loans into HMBS pools or investor delivery channels.
• Allocate resources and drive accountability to direct reports to ensure achievement of results

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• An MBA is strongly preferred.

Industry Experience
• A minimum of 10 years in the mortgage industry, with at least 5 years in capital markets. This includes progressively increasing responsibilities and leadership roles, as well as experience with GNMA, Agency TBA (buy/sell sides), Non-Agency private placements, HMBS markets, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• At least 5 years of experience in analyzing, trading, and managing securitization products. Candidates should possess custom/specification trading expertise, preferably with exposure to MBS derivatives and Mortgage Servicing Rights, and have proven capability in addressing complex technical, administrative, and managerial challenges.

Training / Licensing Requirements:
• Must pass the Company's Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.

The salary range for this position is expected to be $160k-180k per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.
