What is the opportunity?

Responsible for leading the execution of technology-based initiatives within Savings & Investments. This role will act as the business / Product Owner working with internal and external project resources in the development of scope, requirements, and implementation activities, change management and training & communication.

What will you do?
  • Business lead / Product Owner for the execution of technology-based initiatives
  • Partners with Strategy and Management teams to ensure project deliverables are appropriately defined and delivered
  • Manage vendor relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals and expectations.
  • Conducts research and analysis of key initiatives to facilitate and manage the development of project scope, key deliverables, and strategic alignment with business priorities.
  • Contributes to the gathering of business requirements to ensure they align with the project definition (Scope and Deliverables). Ensures their accuracy and completeness.
  • Completes risk assessments including Identifying mitigation plans and ensures implementation
  • Leads change management, training, and communication for assigned initiatives. Partners with Retail Enablement to review, approve and execute organization change management (OCM) activities.
  • Develops strong understanding of business issues, direction and vision when determining solutions, within the context of the project objectives.
  • Generates and recommends alternative approaches/ solutions to meet needs of the project.
  • Identifies gaps in current technology-based applications and offers solutions to close gaps
  • Fosters a positive and dynamic environment by establishing, developing and maintaining a strong relationship with business partners, sponsors, internal and external partners.
  • Ensures Project Manager's/Scrum Masters' effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
  • Product Owner experience enabling the delivery of medium-to-large technology-based initiatives.
  • Excellent planning skills. Proven ability in written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter requiring little management oversight
  • Organizational awareness.
  • Ability to impact and influence through leadership experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Undergraduate business/economics degree

Nice to have:
  • Over 5 years' experience in project execution as a business lead or project management
  • Knowledge of investment industry and products is an asset.
