OverviewThis role serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, leveraging data and analytics to optimize performance across a diversified portfolio of senior living and hotel assets. This role leads analytics, business intelligence, and data governance initiatives, partnering closely with Asset Management, IT, and Finance to drive portfolio value and operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines deep real estate and analytics expertise, with a strong understanding of senior living and hotel operations.
Responsibilities
Strategic Analytics & Portfolio Performance
- Develop and execute the analytics strategy to enhance portfolio performance across senior living and hotel assets
- Partner with Assets Managers to identify value creation opportunities in occupancy, rate growth, and expense management
- Support capital allocation, redevelopment, and disposition decisions
Operational Analytics
- Analyze operational line items to identify performance gaps across portfolios
- Provide Asset Managers with data driven leverage to challenge operator assumptions during P&L and budget reviews
- Evaluate senior living metrics including occupancy, RevPOR, acuity, and labor costs
- Analyze hotel KPIs including ADR, RevPAR, occupancy, and GOP margins
- Deliver insights to optimize pricing, demand, and operational performance
Investment & Asset Management Analytics
- Support financial modeling of portfolio wide capital allocation including valuation of assets and developments with industry specific assumptions
- Analyze same-store performance, NOI, and portfolio returns
- Partner with finance on portfolio forecasting and valuation analytics
- Build predictive models to underwrite ROI’s on property renovations
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Lead architecture of dashboards and reporting tools leveraging in-house IT team, develop , build and maintain data integrity
- Standardize reporting across operators and property management partners
- Support earnings, investor reporting, and Board materials
- Drive adoption of self-service analytics across the organization
Leadership and Collaboration
- Collaborate with third-party operators to improve performance and ensure alignment with REIT objectives
- Lead and develop a high performing analytics and BI team
- Manage external data vendors and analytics tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Data Analytics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7–10 years of experience in real estate analytics, with a preference to exposure with senior housing, healthcare or hotel real estate
- Experience with BI tools, data platforms, and predictive modeling preferred (Power BI, SQL, Snowflake)
- Proven leadership and ability to drive enterprise analytics initiatives
- Strong knowledge of financial and operational KPIs (NOI, RevPAR, occupancy, etc.)
Preferred
- Experience in institutional real estate platform
- Experience working with third-party operators
- Exposure to predictive analytics, forecasting, or machine learning applications
- Experience in the real estate or hospitality/senior living industry is highly desirable

The estimated base compensation range for this position is $209,000 to $229,000 per year. RMR considers several components including an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market data
