Job title: Director, Business Intelligence CoE Team Lead
  • Grade: L4-1
  • Hiring Manager: Chris Bayles
  • Location: Cambridge, MA / Morristown, NJ

About the Job

The Sanofi Patient Support Services (PSS) team helps patients access Sanofi therapies by providing reimbursement and logistics support, financial assistance, and patient education. As Director, Business Intelligence Center of Excellence Team Lead, you will own the BI platform strategy and analytics infrastructure that powers decision-making across PSS - leading a team of technical analytics professionals and partnering with therapeutic area experts to co-create insights that improve patient access and program performance.

Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, you'll help deliver breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of the highest unmet needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing BI team, building technical depth and analytics engineering capability across the function; set team direction, manage performance, and cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Own the BI platform strategy, architecture, and product roadmap - including Power BI, Tableau, and emerging AI-augmented analytics tools - ensuring PSS has a scalable, enterprise-grade analytics infrastructure that evolves with business needs.
  • Design, build, and govern productized analytics solutions: enterprise dashboards, standardized KPI reporting, and self-service analytics products that deliver consistent, reliable insights across therapeutic areas and program teams.
  • Establish and enforce technical and visual standards, data governance frameworks, and analytics best practices - including data quality protocols, KPI definitions, validation standards, and responsible AI guidelines - to ensure trustworthy outputs at scale.
  • Partner collaboratively with therapeutic area business leads to co-develop analytics solutions for mining context-rich insights, and also the Sanofi Digital organization to co-create the internal infrastructure that enables scale and high repurpose-ability for productized BI and analytical AI capabilities.
  • Evaluate, select, and integrate advanced analytics technologies, including AI/ML platforms, agentic AI tools, and cloud-based data solutions, translating emerging capabilities into practical, productized applications for PSS analytics.
  • Drive automation and innovation in analytics workflows, identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, accelerate insight delivery, and expand the analytical capabilities available to PSS stakeholders.

About You
  • Deep technical expertise in BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and analytics engineering, with a proven track record and a minimum of 7 years of experience (10 preferred) of building and productizing enterprise-level analytics solutions in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting.
  • Strong proficiency across the analytics technology stack: SQL and hands-on experience with Python or R valued; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), data integration pipelines, and CRM/specialty pharmacy data ecosystems (Veeva, Salesforce, Capgemini).}
  • Demonstrated experience with AI/ML platform integration and advanced analytics techniques - including the ability to evaluate model outputs, guide AI-augmented workflows, and apply AI tools in a business analytics context without necessarily building models from scratch.
  • Proven people leader with experience building and managing technical analytics teams; able to set a compelling technical vision, develop talent, and foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
  • Collaborative partner mindset - skilled at working alongside business domain experts as the technical SME, co-creating insights rather than operating as a standalone insights function.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate BI platform capabilities into a product roadmap that anticipates business needs and scales with organizational growth.
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; significant experience in pharmaceutical or specialty care analytics considered in lieu of advanced degree.

Why Choose Us
  • Bring the miracles of science to life alongside a supportive, future-focused team.
  • Discover endless opportunities to grow your talent and drive your career, whether it's through a promotion or lateral move, at home or internationally.
  • Enjoy a thoughtful, well-crafted rewards package that recognizes your contribution and amplifies your impact.
  • Take good care of yourself and your family, with a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits including high-quality healthcare, prevention and wellness programs and at least 14 weeks' gender-neutral parental leave
