DUTIES:

Assist the Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Institutions, Credit Risk Solutions, in developing and servicing key Financial Institutions clients in their insurance needs, including the New York-based branches of SMBC, Mizuho, Bladex, Standard Chartered Bank, and JP Morgan. Responsible for expanding business with additional Financial Institutions, including other Japanese banks, Canadian banks, Export Credit Agencies, Development Banks, and Private Credit Funds. Strengthen the New York office's capabilities in placing insurance for complex Financial Institution risks and expand the firm's presence among these clients. Reinforce WTW's position as the "expert broker" for these institutions in both New York and London and play an important role in educating certain U.S. insurers on these complex placements. Advise clients on the structuring, placement, and management of international credit and political risk insurance programs and carbon insurance offerings, leveraging deep expertise in global insurance markets. Responsible for the day-to-day management of major global Financial Institutions accounts and arranging and placing bank nonpayment, project finance, political violence, and carbon credit non delivery/nonpayment risks across U.S., London, and global insurance markets. Understand and support clients' long-term strategic objectives, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen relationships with U.S. and international insurers. Develop and execute strategic plans to expand WTW's position as the leading broker for global Financial Institutions, Export Credit Agencies, and private credit funds by promoting a global placement strategy, ensuring clients have access to the global insurance market and supporting cross-office initiatives between New York and London. Lead marketing efforts for global clients, collaborating closely with London colleagues and coordinating with both U.S. and international insurers. Enhance client relationships with U.S.-based insurers as well as global insurance markets. Support the New York office's placement infrastructure, implementation of the GB Broking Platform, compliance, systems, and procedures to ensure alignment with London operations. Market WTW's Mercury platform for U.S.-based clients, develop and deliver staff training, and recruit new colleagues as needed. Part-time telecommuting permitted. 10% domestic and international travel required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, International Business, or a closely related field and 8 years of experience in the position offered or a related role structuring, negotiation, and placement of complex Political Risk Insurance and Structured Credit Insurance; or a Master's degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, International Business, or a closely related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or a related role structuring, negotiation, and placement of complex Political Risk Insurance and Structured Credit Insurance. Requires 5 years of experience in all of the following: working directly with International Finance Institutions, including Japanese, Canadian, and European banks, with a thorough understanding of Basel-related regulatory issues; global credit and political risk insurance markets, including Lloyd's of London and specialty London market insurers; New York and English law insurance wordings, including co brokered placements requiring harmonization of dual jurisdiction policy structures; Basel III endgame and how its application affects banks in different jurisdictions (i.e. JFSA, PRA); bank non payment, project finance, political violence, and carbon insurance structures, including bespoke placements for Japanese megabanks and other global institutions; and financial institutions (both bank and non bank), Multilateral Agencies, and Development Banks. Requires 4 years of experience in all of the following: developing and executing strategic market entry and growth plans for international banks, particularly Japanese and Canadian institutions; and coordinating cross border placements between New York and London, including managing U.S. market capacity constraints, sourcing supplemental capacity from London and global insurers, and educating U.S. insurers on complex international structures.
