Director, Broker Engagement

Job Description Summary
As the leader of the integrated brokerage engagement solutions team, this position will partner closely with company leadership to facilitate growth of the brokerage division of the organization and provide HR guidance in managing the broker employee life cycle. This is a highly visible and challenging role which will have a direct impact on the company's top and bottom-line performance.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Market leadership and SIMA team to oversee brokerage recruiting and retention process targeting high profile revenue generators for the Americas brokerage platform
  • Lead offer and contract negotiations from inception to execution, in partnership with SIMA to ensure a strong ROI
  • Provide best-in-class customer service to internal clients, an exceptional employee experience to the brokerage population and consistent communication to all stakeholders
  • Establish a strong working relationship and successfully achieve strategic-advisor status with internal Operations and Brokerage Leadership and partner with them to develop regional and local recruitment strategies
  • Act as liaison between multiple internal departments including SIMA, Operations, Legal, Commissions Accounting and Finance
  • Ensure required approvals are received in compliance for all broker hires, retention efforts and compensation changes
  • Solve complex problems with solutions that support C&W business objectives
  • Provide brokerage subject matter expertise (SME) and process improvement to various ad hoc projects such as cost-savings, acquisitions, and compensation changes
  • Confirm and monitor key performance indicators - interceding with creative solutions to address unexpected challenges or shifting business demands
  • Fully utilize the operating model of the organization, orchestrating the efforts of all stakeholders appropriately

Background, Experience and Competencies:
  • 10+ years' experience with successfully progressive roles in a professional organization; 5 years of management experience
  • Strong Operational or Human Resources experience preferred, with demonstrated track record of strategic planning and project management
  • Exceptional presence, communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience implementing recruiting processes to achieve business objectives
  • Consultative problem solving and results orientation; experience in a matrixed leadership environment
  • Ability to independently achieve successful outcomes on executed activities with minimal supervision
  • Successful track record of working through complex, rapidly changing and sensitive issues and interacting with executives and brokers at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage and prioritize complex situations and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, mixing long-term projects with the urgency of immediate demands
  • Demonstrated effective business judgement and adherence to highest ethical standards and professionalism; ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $ 136,000.00 - $160,000.00
