Full Job Description
The Director --Analytics works collaboratively with other leaders to support operational and strategic goals of the organization. The Director is responsible for leading Business Intelligence and software development resources to achieve the mission. They will manage multiple stakeholder expectations for both urgent and longer-term analytic needs. This role will play a central role in data strategy and management within the Brooklyn Hospital and reports to Senior director of Clinical Informatics.

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Master's Degree -- HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • At least eight (8) years of analytics and reports development experience for a health provider, health plan or accountable care organization including: Epic clinical or financial decision support, medical economics, quality reporting, revenue cycle management, population health management or equivalent.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience leading analytics or reporting teams.
  • At least seven (7) years of software development or data engineering experience:
  • Strong data mining and engineering skills using tools like SQL, TSQL, Python, SSIS, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of Business Intelligence products (Tableau, SAP Crystal, SSRS etc.)
  • Extensive experience with front-end development, server-side development and scripting using .Net, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Perl, Python
  • Must have experience with Epic's Cogito reporting tools.
  • Certification in EPIC Cogito applications or ability to get certified after employment
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate goals, plan and implement processes to achieve those goals, identify/remediate risks, and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced interpersonal (e.g., mediating, mentoring, teaching) skills required to serve stakeholders effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently, and to exercise independent judgment in developing complex techniques or programs in a dynamic environment.
  • Skilled in navigating complex organizational relationships, with a strong record of accomplishment of driving organizational cultural change. Politically astute; understands dynamics of relationships and will remain balanced and objective.
  • Effective and highly credible working relations with individuals at all levels of the organization, from entry-level to the medical staff.
