Full Job Description
As Director, 3rd Party Distribution, you will own relationships with key third-party distributors-including wholesalers, bed banks, online travel agencies, and other travel partners-to expand distribution opportunities for our member hotels while driving revenue growth for Preferred Travel Group. Success in this role comes from sourcing, contracting and growing production with new and existing accounts, working with the distribution team to document and streamline booking requirements, engaging with the Leisure Sales team to support new distribution needs for existing customers and providing insight and education on changes to this landscape.
What you'll deliver:
• Monitor production of existing accounts and provide regular updates
• Research and identify strategic opportunities (accounts) to bring to member hotels as new incremental booking channels and/or through efficiencies and cost savings
• Follow up and pursue potential distribution opportunities identified by the Hotels, Hotel Revenue Optimization Directors, or the Commercial Team
• Streamline existing accounts to reduce duplicity, improve efficiency and increase revenue
• During annual budget planning, identify accounts and revenue potential through acquisition in the following year
• Maintain active sales plans on key accounts as directed by SVP, Revenue & Distribution and SVP, Leisure Sales via action plans, sales activity report, sales calls, key distribution events & meetings
• Maintain detailed and timely records of prospect and managed accounts
• Work with Leisure Sales to provide distribution directions for new and existing accounts; provide alternate solutions or processes for accounts with limited opportunity (i.e., local, regional accounts)
• Review hotel distribution and engage hotels towards strategic changes to improve efficiency and production in coordination with the global Hotel Revenue Management team.
• Coordinate the rate loading process with the Distribution team to ensure timely, efficient and accurate set up.
• Assist SVP, Revenue Optimization & Distribution and Chief Commercial Officer in strategic direction for commercial requirements of third-party distribution, including but not limited to commission, revenue share and hotel transaction fees.
• Work towards and manage boilerplate requirements for standardization in agreements, including rate parity, inventory allocation, revenue share and data protection.
• Monitor and administer rate parity monitoring across accounts and brand website, including communication to and compliance adoption by violating member hotels. Coordinate internal communication on rate parity across hotels, identify and implement solutions to improve performance.
What you'll bring to the team:
• Sales Experience, including history of working with leisure accounts
• Revenue Management or hotel reservations experience
• Excellent relationship building skills and customer service orientation.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Hotel, travel, or hospitality industry experience or education preferred.

Salary:
$130,000 - $150,000, actual compensation within this range will be determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise.
