Job Title : Director, Education & Events

Division: Luxury

Location: Field Based Remote New York City

Reports To: AVP, Client Experience, Retail Excellence

What You Will Learn:

The Director of Education serves as primary creator, trainer, and events lead for content and tools, delivering compelling elevated events and effective trainings across all retailers for three fragrance brands. This role is responsible for the creation of conversion-driven education content to engage the field, retailers, and BA community. As an integral part of the Client Experience and Retail Excellence team, the ideal candidate is a creative-minded self-starter with exceptional communication, organization and presentation skills, and demonstrates a passion for service, product, and brand storytelling. This position reports directly to the AVP of Client Experience and Retail Excellence.

• Minimum of 8+ years professional experience as an educator in beauty/fragrances or retail management
• Self-motivated, results oriented, strategic & creative mindset, collaborative leadership
• Exceptional verbal & written communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
• Proficient knowledge and awareness of beauty industry, market, and competitive trends
• Track record of effective working relationships across levels: brand leadership, retailers, BAs, and clients
• Expert knowledge of computer programs - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
• Socially savvy and understanding of digital content creation, including video and training tools
• Must be able to travel for the needs of the business (30%)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds

Judgment and Decision Making:

This position must be a self-starter who is able to manage projects, schedule, and full role responsibilities with intermittent supervision. Must be able to successfully collaborate with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders from L'Oreal field, US headquarters and global teams.

Financial Scope:

Drive Fragrance & Client Engagement via exceptional training content and delivery
• Manage and develop training content, with creation of engaging education tools
• Understand needs of brand and retailer to develop meaningful education content
• Develop coaching tools/programs for BAs and field teams on selling skills, product knowledge
• Conceptualize, design, and produce impactful training content for all retailers in partnership with cross-functional teams
• National trainer and primary facilitator for education across all retailers
• Provide support and guidance to the field as a Brand expert point of contact, from an education and events standpoint

Elevated Events Expert
• Conceptualize, design, and produce elevated events for all retailers that positively impact client experience and retail sales working in partnership with cross-functional teams
• Partner with Field Vice President/Regional Sales Directors to review business and design event needs and programs by retailers.
• Manage event programs. Track, evaluate and provide feedback/recommendations on how to improve events and maximize Return on investment (ROI)
• Captain project management from vendor communication to creative through completion.
